Please welcome Sookie to the SOS family!
Sookie was picked up as a stray by animal control on October 18th. She had a 4-5 inch prolapsed rectum and was taken to the ER where she spent the next 3 days after surgery. She then contracted Parvo but thankfully recovered. As you can see from the pictures she also has pretty severe double cherry eye.
This little girl is only 7 months old and has already endured more than any pup should have to and she's still not done 😞
She has a vet appointment on November 15th to check the healing progress of her prolapse surgery (as there is still a little bleeding), examine her eyes and overall wellness. Over the next few weeks/months she will need to have eye surgery, spay surgery, multiple vaccinations and extra special care.
We don't have an exact estimate for all of this yet but do know that it will be at least a few thousand dollars. Please help us help Sookie.
