Fluvanna SPCA

The FSPCA is a nonprofit group that shelters and cares for lost, abandoned, and neglected homeless cats and dogs in Fluvanna Co., VA through our no-kill mission. We also proudly serve as the Public Animal Shelter for the Fluvanna community.

We are dedicated to providing care and shelter, to rescuing and rehabilitating Fluvanna County's homeless, neglected, and abused dogs and cats, and placing every medically and behaviorally adoptable animal into a loving, forever home.

The Fluvanna County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (FSPCA) was founded in 1989 and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, animal welfare organization. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Fluvanna County's homeless, neglected, and abused dogs and cats. As a small, rural, open-intake shelter, we are proud to maintain a no-kill mission.

The FSPCA also proudly serves as the county's Public Animal Shelter for the Fluvanna community. The Staff collaborates with the Sheriff's Animal Control Officers by taking in and caring for strays and neglected pets, and helping to reunite lost pets with their loved ones.

Philanthropic support (i.e. donations, fundraising events, volunteers, fosters) play an essential role in ensuring that the FSPCA is able to care for, rehabilitate, vaccinate, spay-neuter, and find homes for as many homeless pets as possible.
