To find loving homes for surrendered, abandoned or neglected dogs and puppies. Washington GSD Rescue hopes to ease the problem of the population overflow occuring in many of our shelters today. We educate the individual on the importance of sterilizing the pet and providing superior care.

We are composed of a network of foster families and are in need of finding more foster care providers with the time and commitment to provide care for these animals in transition. We also are in need of people to provide transportation for these animals. We are an all volunteer rescue.

Washington German Shepherd Rescue (WGSR) is a nonprofit organization that finds loving homes for surrendered, abandoned and neglected German Shepherd dogs in Washington state and the greater Pacific Northwest region.

We are a volunteer-only rescue. Response times depend on the volunteer's free time. If your application has been considered as suitable for one of our animals, we will contact you promptly. Thank you for considering adoption.

We have a very high success rate of placing dogs due to our careful Adoption Application screening process, and matching capabilities between dog and prospective owner. Our goal is to come up with the best possible match between you and your future pet. Please consider adopting one of our animals. If you are not interested in adopting, there is the option to foster an animal (where you temporarily take care of an animal until we place them in their new, loving home).
