The Door County Humane Society provides a safe haven for lost or homeless pets while working to reunite them with their owners or place them with a new loving family. DCHS prides itself on being an adoption guaranteed shelter and encourages responsible pet ownership through education, training and spay/neutering. DCHS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supported by members and private donors. We receive less than 5% of our total budget from governmental sources. We encourage the public to visit the shelter and become involved as donors and volunteers of the Door County Humane Society.
