Our licensed shelter in Claxton, GA currently provides care for 100+ rescue dogs & puppies – mostly large breeds. Please help us help them.

The Mission of S.O.S. is to save as many dogs as possible from certain death and find them permanent homes, and to educate the public in our community on the importance of spaying/neutering and providing proper humane care, training and respect for all pets.

S.O.S. is an all volunteer 501c3 non-profit animal rescue located in Claxton, GA. We are licensed by the GA Department of Agriculture as an Animal Shelter (Rescue). The majority of the dogs here were dumped like trash along roadsides, in fields, in dumpsters, etc. A few were rescued last minute from Animal Control Facilities (kill shelters), within hours of being euthanized. We then give these dogs the medical attention and social skills they need and find them loving FOREVER homes. We educate our community members on the importance of spay/neuter, vaccines and proper care of animals.
