Firefighter Dog Rescue is a foster based non-profit dog rescue. We are based in Durham region Ontario and are committed to saving every dog possible.

Our mission is to save every dog possible and provide them with the caring home they deserve. To educate the public on the huge need of rescues and the importance of choosing a rescue dog over a puppy from a breeder.

There are a lot of great rescues out there but sadly there are far more dogs out there needing to be rescued. For the past couple of years I've been heavily involved working with shelter dogs as well as assisting dog rescues in fostering and transport. I have garnered extensive knowledge in dog rescue and have accumulated many contacts in this area. Firefighter Dog Rescue was created so that I could do the greatest amount of good possible.

Firefighter Dog Rescue is a rescue without borders. Dogs will be brought from high kill shelters in Quebec and the United States as well as any other country we are able to rescue dogs from. As well we will do our best to save dogs from culls on reserves or who have been languishing in local shelters.

Do diligence will be done to ensure that all fosters and adopters provide a caring, nurturing home for our dogs. As well we will do our best to ensure the health of every animal in our care. All dogs will be vetted. This includes vaccinations, heartworm testing, micro chipping and spay/neutering of dogs over 6 months of age.
