Rural dog rescue aka Texas gulf coast Boston Terrier rescue, is the group opening their shelter here in Tarkington (Liberty County).

The Rural Dog Rescue Rescue, Inc. is a volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide care and shelter to unwanted, abused, abandoned or surrendered Dog of all breeds in the Gulf Coast region and place them into loving forever homes.

Once in our care, our rescues are thoroughly examined by a veterinarian. They receive all necessary medical treatment, are vaccinated, micro-chipped, spayed/neutered and started on heartworm preventative treatment.

As a non-profit organization, we are wholly dependent on private donations to fund our day-to-day operations in rescuing, fostering and permanently placing our rescued dogs and cats
