A dog rescue

Our one primary mission… rescuing and placing homeless, neglected, or abused dogs from High-Kill shelters from the South into loving, responsible, committed and permanent homes. We have a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and cost of bringing a dog into their homes and lives.

Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue, (a no kill rescue) is brand new… not to rescuing and placing dogs from high-kill shelters in the south but brand new as an organization. For about the past 4 and a half years we’ve been involved with another organization based out of New York and during that time we’ve fostered and found loving homes for close to 4500 dogs in the this area. I guess you could say we’re not newbies to saving lives. With over 12 years of combined experience, our group of fosters is second to none.

Our 3 fosters, Darlene, Kelly and Jim have one primary mission… rescuing and placing homeless, neglected, or abused dogs from High-Kill shelters from the South into loving, responsible, committed and permanent homes. We have a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and cost of bringing a dog into their homes and lives.

Animals in our care receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and are placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes.

We strive to work with area shelters and other rescue and Humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for the homeless dogs.

Our dogs currently in foster, are kept in large play pens, indoors, with plenty of toys, food, water and blankets. We make them part of our family for the short time we have them and believe that fostering should be a positive experience for the dog and adopting should be an smooth, wonderful experience for you.
