Nana has found her forever home! 💕

“Life with Nana is going splendidly! She has been such a joy in our lives. She is happy, cuddly, affectionate, and a massive weirdo. We see more of her personality every day and could not be happier. She settled in almost immediately and is very much at home with us. She’s a couch potato of epic proportions and is still learning to enjoy being outside and going on adventures, but she’ll get there.

Almond has found his forever home! 💕

“Almond is doing well! It feels like he's fully settled in and we have a routine with him more or less. Attached are a few photos you can use and below is our write up.

We are enjoying Almond as the new addition to our home. He has fully and comfortably moved in and claimed the couch as his favorite napping spot. He was shy and timid the first few days, but he has opened up and become a silly and rambunctious pup. He enjoys napping, playing fetch, and checking in on his humans while they're working. He is learning new skills, meeting new people and dogs, and exploring new places. Thank you to Melody, Donna, and his foster parents, James and Ngoc, for bringing Almond into our lives!”

Tae, now Axel, has found his forever home! 💕

“Tae (now Axel) has been such a wonderful addition to our family. He is the sweetest pup and already knows how to sit, stay, and shake. He loves going for walks and exploring the neighborhood. He has playful spurts and then falls asleep on his toys. He mastered his bedtime routine within the first few days – as soon as we get back from his walk, he heads straight into his crate, sits for his treat, and then goes to sleep for the night. We are so thankful to you, the rescuer, Donna, and his foster mom Heather for bringing Axel into our lives!”

Zoey has found her forever home! 💕

“Zoey is the absolute sweetest and an adorable pup! Within a week, she’s opened up her heart and follows us just to get her ears and back scratched. When she isn’t taking afternoon naps, she loves long walks where she can explore the suburbs and of course chase all flying leaves that she can. Zoey is still a little shy, but her curiosity is growing. She loves to stop and smell everything in her path, but might be a little scared of Halloween decorations. 😜 We’ll work on it for next year.

There’s still a lot for Zoey to learn and we hope she grows more comfortable for adventures at parks, doggy play dates and more!

Strong, now Gobi, has found his forever home! 💕

“Gobi (FKA Strong) has been a shining light of brightness everywhere he goes! On walks, he gets the smiles from all the people, and at the dog park, he loves to take in the smells and enjoy the company of other pups. We are still working on leash manners, but he loves his snacks and treats so much that it’s usually not difficult to get his attention. He’s a retriever, so naturally, he likes to retrieve...but only on his terms. He’d rather be retrieving Dad’s sock from behind the couch over a tennis ball, but he means well. Gobi is a big dog (80 lbs!) with an even bigger heart. He’s got so much love to give and we can’t wait to give him all our love back. Thanks so much!”

Meet Emery! 🐶 Emery is an adorable 9 months old Shepherd/Hound mix puppy. Emery loves playing with other dogs outside and is great with people. She is working on walking on a leash, she does pull a bit and gets curious, but overall does great on walks. She knows basic commands: sit, shake, down, come, stay and is learning "leave-it".  She is super smart and picks up commands very fast. She is a very sweet girl and has a great temperament. She loves playing with her toys and being outside. She even knows how to fetch!

Emery would flourish at home with a family that is patient and consistent with puppy training. A family with kids and a yard would be nice, she does have puppy energy and would need to be exercised. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy.  Emery is patiently waiting! 💕

Bon Bon, now Fern, has found her forever home! 💕

“Hi Melody! Here are some pictures of my little Fern dog. She's making friends with the cats and generally doing great.  She even went to our block party last weekend and was the star of the show :) I'm excited for her fur to grow back so he can be her fluffy self again.  In the meantime, she gets tons of compliments on her lion haircut.  She loves exploring the neighborhood with me on our walks.  We're both getting in great shape, and enjoying coming back and snuggling and having bones after the walk.  Well, she enjoys the bones anyway. Thanks for everything!”

Dakota has found her forever home! 💕

“Things are going great!! Her vet appointment went well, “picture of health”, and overall she’s a well behaved and well loved dog. She’s loving our walks, trips to the dog park and adventures for hiking and Golden Gate Park. She’s somehow amassed a collection of toys, but loves all of them. Her training is also going well, she’s a quick learner but a little too smart, e.g. she realized if she doesn’t get the treat out of the toy at some point we’ll empty it.”

Sammy has found his forever home! 💕

“Melody, he’s a gift in my life and I couldn’t be more grateful. Sonny Corleone von Bülow Bono Saraceno, first of his name, defender of the drag queen, son of Claire, guardian of the sofa has taken my life and flipped it upside down. His name is, of course, a joke, but I needed to make it as dramatic as he is.  I do drag on the side and my drag name is Intensive  Claire.  Hence, the drag references in his name.

Anyway, every day he gets closer to me than the day before.  He’s full of love and affection, and just wants to snuggle and play fetch.  He’s an extremely fast learner. In a week he has learned his name and comes to me when I call him. He has learned to sit, and is now taking treats from my hand.  We started private obedience training today and he’s already charmed and impressed our trainer Karyn to no end.  He’s a showstopper at the parks too. Mostly because he steals every other dog’s balls.  He has big puppy energy.  I truly couldn’t be more in love.  I am so grateful to you for accepting me as his dad. I’d do anything for this little guy. Thank you so much.”

Meet Laika! 🐶 Laika is an adorable 3 year old Jindo/Collie mix! Laika is a wonderful dog with tons of personality. She is sweet, friendly, playful, and smart. Despite her harsh past she still loves human affection and interaction. She will sit there forever while you hold her face in your hands and give her kisses! She has spent time with kids (4-12 years old) and has never shown anything but her sweet temperament. She is not shy or skittish. She has a naughty side and is into *everything* she can reach, including your shoes, socks, stuffed animals, slippers, Halloween decorations(!)... so she will need to be watched until she learns the ropes and rules of the house. She is eager to please and learns quickly. Super smart.

Laika is highly toy motivated, especially balls, and learning to play a proper game of fetch (rather than keep away!), which is probably her favorite activity in life right now! She is very playful with her foster home's 2-year old female husky mix so having another playful dog would be a good match. She is a high energy dog and loves long walks, hikes, and runs. This girl can GO so an active, involved owner that can devote regular exercise and focused playtime would be ideal. She is very calm and relaxed at home after she has been exercised.

She has started some basic obedience and responds well to leadership. She is comfortable in her kennel. She eats meals in her crate, and sleeps through the night in it. She is housetrained, but is given regular potty breaks (every 2 hours) throughout the day. She is still learning leash manners but is improving every day.

We know you will fall in love with Laika when you meet her. She is a special dog that is waiting for her special family. This is your chance to give this amazing dog her second chance! Laika ia patiently waiting! 💕
