We have no idea how this cutie pie found her way to the streets of Newark, but thankfully someone turned her in at @tricityanimals where the staff quickly discovered she's healthy and very friendly! Muffin is still figuring out what happened to her world. However, she's quickly learning that life as an SVPP foster pup is very fun, and we expect she'll soon feel safe and secure too. We can't wait to see this perky girl blossom!

Nellie, a sweet min-pin, came to Silicon Valley Pet Project with skin issues and an abductive leg, which required surgery to remove it. She is one of the many special dogs rescued by SVPP this year that needed extensive medical care, recovery and extra TLC. This support allows these pets to have the second chance they deserve — and a forever family.

Quiet, shy and reserved, little Frodo was found alone in a field in Solano County. The shelter there did not think she was adoptable because she was so scared and shut down. After she was transferred with a few dogs down to @tricityanimals, the staff there found her to be very sweet! Frodo relaxed and began to show that she is gentle, curious about other dogs, loves laps, and wants to be with people.😊 Thanks to one of SVPP's experienced fosters, Frodo is getting a brand new start to her life, and we can't wait to watch her come out of her shell and show us her playful side!

SVPP is participating in the annual Best Friends Animal Society Strut Your Mutt event (virtually again this year) to specifically raise funds to support our special needs dogs. These dogs with special medical and behavioral needs rely on all of us to help!

Happy one year anniversary to Rosie and her family! 16 year-old Rosie is one lucky pup. When Rosie came to SVPP, we placed her in the care of a foster family who had experience with senior dogs and they immediately welcomed Rosie into their home. As it turned out -- despite Rosie being vision and hearing impaired -- she was the perfect fit for her foster family and they officially adopted her a few months ago!🎉 It has been one year since Rosie entered their lives as a foster dog, and they sent us these heartwarming photos taken over the past 12 months.
