Super fly and super fast. 💙💙
Weighing in at less than a pound… I picked this guy up when he was about 3 weeks old. I’ve been tube feeding him several times a day until today. Now he’s 8 weeks old and finally eating mush on his own! Big steps for such a tiny guy with hydrocephalus. This sweet little boy is a tri colored French Bulldog with a normal palate. No cleft. I’m so used to puppies with clefts that when I have a puppy without a cleft, I always need to go back to puppy basics and remember they can eat mush. 🥳🥳🥳
Thank you @clearly_loved_pets because you just made my life so much easier. I cannot tell you how happy I am to finally have their amazing product here. These pens are fabulous! 💜 They come in different widths, heights and colors. They are a beautiful addition to your home and are easy to set up, move, use and clean. They really build a fantastic product. 💎💎💎Thank you again @clearly_loved_pets for your wonderful donation.😘💖
We lost sweet baby Sherman today. 💔 His little body just couldn’t continue to fight anymore than it already had. He was exhausted and not improving, so I made the painful decision to let him go in peace and not make him fight on. I’m sorry we could not save Sherman. I feel awful, but I know we all came together to give Sherman the best chance and I thank you for that.💜 (This video is from when he was admitted into the vet hospital a few days ago).

We are so sorry to interrupt your Saturday evening, but we are in the middle of a crisis.😩
Last night around 10PM, I was tube feeding the cleft palate puppies and one of them named Sherman aspirated. 💔 I could tell what happened as soon as it happened, and I began calling around to local 24 hour emergency vet hospitals.
(*Aspiration pneumonia happens when liquid enters the lungs, and unfortunately with clefties, since there is a giant hole in the roof of their mouth, this is something that can happen on occasion. The severity of the situation can vary.)
No ER Clinics in my area were taking any new emergency cases as they were at capacity. The closest emergency hospital I found that could see him is about a half hour away. I jumped in my car and got him there as quickly as possible.
Sherman was immediately placed in the oxygen chamber you see in the video. He is so young and so small that finding a vein to give him IV antibiotics was nearly impossible, so they made an incision in his leg and placed a catheter directly into his hip bone for medications. An IV catheter was placed directly into his jugular for fluids.
Sherman was recently brought to us from Southern California. He is a very healthy puppy and we are hoping that because of his size and his overall health, that he will pull through.
Our total costs were at $3,000 this morning, and slowly climbing.
We desperately need your help to cover these unforeseen costs. We know it’s a huge ask. We know it’s a huge bill. We are just hopeful that you will all agree that his little life is worth fighting for. Please help me save sweet Sherman. 🙌💜 Our Venmo link is in our bio and our PayPal link is in our linktr.ee in our bio. Thank you so much. 💖

Itty Bitty Triple Cleft 💛🧡🤎
Meet Tiny, the triple cleft.💙💙💙I must say that our rescue has had and does have some of the handsomest dogs ever. 🥳💜 I may have tagged a few handsome alumni pups in this post. One of the tags has 3 NBBR Alumni. I wonder who that is… 🤩
We wanted to do a post tonight to try to bring to light some things you might not even realize were happening.
We’re absolutely not looking to offend anyone, and we truly hope you can read our words with an open mind and heart.
First off, we love your questions about the special needs pups that we take in, and I’m sorry we aren’t able to answer each of your questions about the special needs that some of our pups have. I would definitely encourage you to google something if it peaks your interest, as most of the answers we’ve seen on social media aren’t necessarily always correct!
In fact, a lot of times, regarding puppies with unique characteristics like hydrocephalus, cleft lips, and cleft palates, there are often incorrect answers being given.
We usually see it blamed on “bad breeding”, “bad genetics”, and even “inbreeding”, when in reality, it could have nothing to do with any of these things, and most times does not.
What we’re not realizing when we post things like this is just how hurtful these comments can be to people who read them.
So many people who follow our page have reached out to us thanking us for taking on cleft palate puppies, because they either know someone who was born with a cleft palate, they have a child who has one, or they themselves were born with one.
So imagine how it must feel to constantly see comments and questions linking their amazing uniqueness to inbreeding. Bad genetics. And incest.
I’m sorry, but that’s just horrible.
We take on puppies who would have been euthanized otherwise.
It doesn’t matter to us where they came from.
Or why they might not be “perfect”.
Because at the end of the day, they ARE perfect.
Just like people are perfect, no matter how different or unique we may be.
That’s what makes us all special, after all.
Some days we would just love to be able to post a cute video without all the angry comments about how the puppy came to be and how someone should be punished for their existence.
It gets overwhelming and exhausting.
We love sharing what we do, but some days we just wish for a bit more peace.
I hope this all makes sense.
We love you guys. ❤️❤️❤️
Feeding time at the clefty zoo.💖
💙💙💙BUCK UPDATE💙💙💙
Our sweet boy continues to heal and is looking a thousand times better since we first posted him. He went in for his neuter today, which puts him one step closer to being available for adoption. We’re in no rush, as he’s still healing and learning to just be a dog.
He’s the sweetest, kindest boy ever and despite all he’s been through, just wants to love and be loved.
His foster family is doing a PHENOMENAL job with him. We are so incredibly grateful for them. ❤️❤️❤️
When North meets South. 💜Jaimie from @presentmomentrescue and @montgomerytwix picked up a cleft palate puppy for me in the Los Angeles area and drove it to my house yesterday! I’m still blown away by her willingness and devotion to drive a puppy 8 hours to my house and drive back home 14 hours later, when she owns and operates her own rescue for hydrocephalus puppies and dogs. Jaimie said she would do it and she did it. 💪I cannot begin to explain how grateful I am to Jaimie for making the long drive here. We have spoke many times on the phone and I have sent her a few hydrocephalus puppies but we have never met in person until last night. Meeting Jaimie was like seeing that wonderful friend that you haven’t seen in years, X 10. Jaimie is the real deal💎 and I’m honored to call her my friend. I wish we had more time to visit because we enjoyed her company so much! Please give Jaimie a follow on her own accounts, which I tagged above. Thank you so much, Jaimie. 😘❤️
