Think just because someone is a licensed breeder that it makes them a responsible, ethical, and humane one?
Think again!!
A U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) licensed breeder in Iowa has agreed to surrender more than 500 dogs living in horrific and dangerous conditions in his LICENSED operation.
There are multiple locations where dogs are being kept. There were dogs with untreated injuries and illnesses such as parvovirus and distemper; dogs with painful hair matting, dogs in cages that were too small, dogs eating moldy food and dead dogs on the property.
The USDA documented over 190 violations of the Animal Welfare Act at Daniel Gingerich’s facility, but it wasn’t until the Department of Justice filed a complaint and the Court issued a federal restraining order that he agreed to surrender all of the animals in his care.
Your pretty "pure breed" puppy likely came from a facility like this!! The dogs they breed so you can have your designer dog SUFFER!!! And every time you or someone else buys a dog from a breeder, you are supporting this abuse and neglect. There really is no excuse.
We've said this before and we will say it again and again and again util we are blue in the face: ADOPT DON'T SHOP!
Support your local reputable rescues and those like PPITS and the @ASPCA who work tirelessly to put an end to animal abuse, abandonment, and neglect!

For those who may remember, this is Phoebe. We got her at a San Bernardino shelter about two years ago. She was labeled aggressive. She had entropion in both eyes. She had a prolapsed uterus. She was not in good shape, and she really didn’t have much of a chance.
We rescued her, rehabilitated her and placed her into a wonderful home. She’s been staying at the Ritz Carlton and now she has her own suite at the Cosmopolitan in Vegas.
She’s gone bougie on us and we couldn’t be more thrilled!! 😄🎉♥️
Final rescue of the day! We just took in this little dude too. He was being dumped in SEAACA and a rescuer intervened and got him. They turned him over to us. Meet Norm! He’s a little cutie!♥️ www.PawPrintsintheSand.org/donate

Talk about regal! 👑 🐈⬛
This is one of our rescue kittens, Mia. She is now in a loving and very stylish home, spoiled rotten, harness trained and plays fetch! Her new dad always had cats, but her new mom never had a cat before. She loves Mia so much, she is now taking classes to become a foster for their local shelter! We love that!
