Welcome Huxley into the rescue! This chocolate Labrador Retriever came to us from the South LA Animal Shelter. He is 9 years old and weighs in at 70 pounds. This hunk of love is settling into his foster family where we can learn more about what he's looking for in an adopter.

We are happy to share that our 10-week-old puppy with parvo was able to rally with the help of amazing medical care! This little girl has left the hospital and is now in a foster home. Way to go little one!

Spud has been adopted! He is one of the four "Potato Puppies" we partnered with @rovers_retreat to help find homes.

Spud was the one puppy that initially needed surgery to correct the Pectus Excavatum (concave chest) that he was born with. He also had a heart murmur that needed to be monitored. The day Spud was to have surgery to correct his defect, the surgeon discovered that his condition corrected itself on its own. We were thrilled to hear that Spud had basically grown out of his Pectus Excavatum.

Spud now lives in Venice with his forever family. His adopters lost their last Golden Retriever, Charlie, in July and were ready to adopt again. Spud's family reports Spud (they are keeping his name) is settling in perfectly. He is being such a good boy, getting lots of socialization and already signed up for puppy classes at @rebeccamandelldbf.

Fry has been adopted! He is one of the four "Potato Puppies" we partnered with @rovers_retreat to help find homes. Fry was the only pup of the four that did not have any signs of Pectus Excavatum although he did have a grade 1 heart murmur that the cardiologist thought he would grow out of in time. Fry's forever family includes two twin boys and a canine Golden Retriever brother named Petey, who will teach him lots! His new family writes, "Thank you so much for bringing Fry into our lives. He is so sweet and special. Everyone is getting along wonderfully. Fry seems very comfortable. We do appreciate the work you are doing."
