We have a group of Feral cats that found their way to LBWF. Having been raised with cats, I welcomed them with open arms. We make sure to get them spayed and neutered to do our part to help control the Feral cat population.

They have their own little area of shelter to keep warm and plenty of love, food and water.

We have added some holiday cat designs to our LBWF Rescue Support store. All proceeds go directly to the animals. 🎄 🐈 ⛄

Four more beautiful angels in need rescued by LBWF!
As we have previously stated, the shelters in California are pleading for help and everyone is trying to do their part, but there are simply too many companion animals in the shelters. We are trying to do everything we can to help, make a difference and save lives.
These four beautiful dogs all found themselves in need of rescue by no fault of their own. So many animals are ending up in shelters because there are not enough adopters or rescuers to help them all. It is heart breaking. The animals in the shelters are so scared and crying out for help. These beautiful dogs were rescued yesterday from the Hesperia shelter. The Hesperia shelter work so hard to save their dogs and cats.

Tony, the beautiful Siberian Husky, loves to play with stuffed toys and he is a total sweetheart.

Big Hoss, the blue and white Staffordshire Terrier, is a big baby and full of love and fun.

Hunter, the Labrador Retriever Mix, is just a one-year-old puppy, super sweet and loving.

Kodiak, the white Siberian Husky, super sweet and beautiful. He had a condition in which his eye lashes are turned inside, against his eyes, which is very painful. A simple procedure reverses this painful condition. The shelter even paid for the procedure and yet nobody would rescue or adopt him. It will take a couple of weeks for his eyes to heal properly, but we will take loving care of him!

The shelter advised adoptions are slow right now, so LBWF stepped up and rescued these four.

Southern California shelters are at a crisis level of pet overpopulation. They are euthanizing many companion animals, sometimes daily due to the huge influx of hoarding cases, animals adopted during the pandemic and other human related issues that is causing people to turn in their beloved pets to the shelters. Sadly, what many people do not realize is turning your pets in to the shelter is most likely a death sentence right now. Every rescue is filled to capacity and with the holidays quickly approaching there is no boarding facilities or available fosters to help.

The San Bernardino shelters have been begging for help and are having so many pets coming in, all ages and both small and large breeds. Healthy pets are being euthanized due to lack of space. Everyone is California is screaming for this to all stop.

LBWF has one of the few rescue properties for the dogs to find a safe haven. Here are our newest lucky angels. All four were red listed and set for euthanasia. They were rescued yesterday from the San Bernardino City Shelter.

First sweetheart is little Squirrel. Adorable, and overlooked, she is an absolute doll and gentle.

Next is Sky, the beautiful husky, super loving and sweet, but unfortunately has a large tumor on her side and will be going to our veterinarian for a consultation.

And, the bonded pair, Jergen and Carter. They were huddled together so scared in the shelter. They are so grateful to be saved. They would have never made it out together, if at all.

We know times are hard for all right now, but if you are able, please donate to LBWF today to help us. Because of the pandemic, they were not spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter. We will have to take them in to get them spayed/neutered.

Sweet four-month-old Tucker found himself in need of rescue from the Apple Valley Shelter. The shelters are overloaded with both puppies and mom dogs. Tucker sat quietly all by himself and kept being overlooked. LBWF stepped up and saved this precious angel’s life. We are so happy for him because he found his forever loving home! He is a sweetheart and loves his new little boy and family!

We have been saving so many precious angels from the shelters. Your kind-hearted donations to LBWF saves lives from the overcrowded shelters. These animals have done nothing wrong, there is just simply too many animals being abandoned. The shelters and all of us in rescue are in shock and doing the absolute best we can to help as many as we can.

After finding himself homeless, Jack traveled across endless miles of our beautiful country through both hot and cold temperatures. He arrived safely in California at LBWF. What a magnificent and cool fellow he is! For those of you who followed his journey and helped to fund his transport, we are so grateful!

He is kind, gentle, easy and super sweet. He deserves the best, they all do! He wanted to say thank you to everyone for all your love and support.
