After multiple vet visits and a trip to our neurologist, it was determined that Dan had a neurodegenerative disease which was causing him to deteriorate at an accelerated rate. It’s never easy watching a friend go through such a terrible time, but he remained loved and cared for until his very last breath.
Sometimes life does not deal us the best hand, but it is what we make of it that truly counts. Dan was the little ray of sunshine on a cloudy day and while his time with us wasn’t nearly as long as we had hoped, we will forever cherish the moments we were lucky enough to call him our friend.
