Reposted from @ilove.youhoneybear This is a post I hoped and prayed I’d never have to make. It’s a post that I thought I could avoid, one we could work through. But it has to be done because the longer I wait the more dangerous the situation becomes. 😔

I need to find Honey a new home. We’ve worked with a trainer, she knows her commands and is great when I can get in front of the trigger - stop the behavior before it happens - she will sit and stay and look at me. But she’s attacking the pugs out of nowhere. It’s unpredictable and very unsafe. It honestly feels like she’s just trying to take them out.

I’ve reached out to @wagsandwalks as I promised to do when I signed the contract, but I’ve left several messages and have not been able to speak to anyone. I did get a call back that I missed but that was weeks ago, and I’ve left several since! I’m feeling lost and unsupported.
.
I am not a dog-dumper. This girl and I are bonded TIGHT. But the writing is on the wall that she needs a home to call her own with someone who knows and understands this incredible breed, and does not have any other dogs in the home.
.
She’s an older girl. She really just wants to sleep and eat and feel secure and loved. She’s extremely mellow and easy. She’s goofy and playful in the morning for breakfast, but then just chills hard for the rest of the day. She’s wonderful with children. Even toddlers running about, she is cool as a cucumber.
.
I hate this. 😔

I’m trying to do what’s best for her, and for my pugs no matter how much it breaks my heart. I wanted desperately to be her person.
.
I’m looking at this situation like we were her extended foster home. She felt real love and commitment here. Healthy food, grooming, love and most of all security.
.
Please help me find a new home for our girl. She is so, so special. I made a promise to her that I intend to keep - and that’s that I’ll always make sure she is safe. For some lucky person out there she will be a calm, funny, adorable companion of a lifetime. I’ll never stop wanting her to be mine.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we here at Shar Pei Nation Rescue convey that Pax rescued from a SC Shelter will be lovingly and gently helped over the rainbow bridge tomorrow.

He is hemmoraging from his nasal cavity. His last veterinary visit did divulge cancer. He was doing well, eating, happy, still quality of life. But, we knew the time was limited. Tonight, Pax has shown he is ready.

We are forever greatful and in awe of Lori and her amazing team @pettenderangelsrescue who kicked it in gear with Pax and have shown him nothing but, kindness, compassion, love and care over these past few weeks. He knew he was loved, he experienced happiness and joy, he had comfort. We are so humbled by the care and compassion they gave Pax.
