🥳 What’s better than a freedom ride ? A double freedom ride. Today, we were at PBC ACC to pick up our little cleft baby and left with a little extra 😆 both of these girls do have underlying medical. Roxie the bulldog has ear infections and our little cleft girl has a long list of issues. We will post about that another day but nonetheless, welcome to the Mutty Paws family 💜

🥰The sweetest boy ever has found his forever home and we are so thankful for his new mom 💙Hoss will live a life being spoiled and loved on like they all deserve. Hoss came to us from a very rural shelter and sadly sat there for awhile as a puppy. An amazing foster stepped up ( Huge thanks to the Poss family ) and we were able to rescue him. Now.. he gets to settle in to his forever home. Happy forever Hoss. We love you.

❤️Khaleesi Update❤️

Many of you have asked for an update on Khaleesi’s health and we have some good and bad to share. Khaleesi has faced extreme adrenal insufficiency and has been on steroids (both oral and injections) since her discharge from the ICU vets. She has been following up with internal medicine specialist to oversee her health since. We are waiting on her labs after weaning her off the steroids. We are hoping and praying she can overcome this and not need lifetime steroid replacement. There will be labs drawn every 2 weeks and another ACTH stimulation test redone in the next 4-6 weeks. She is under close observation to prevent a crisis and we need your prayers again for our girl. She is experiencing some redness on her skin from the excessive steroid treatment and she has excessive thirst and panting. We will continue to update you as we learn more about her condition. Any donations towards her care are greatly appreciated 🥺

❗️More unexpected expenses. Today we gave Pebbles & BamBam their freedom ride from PBC ACC & we are so happy to welcome them into Mutty Paws Rescue. It all started a week ago.. local PD knocked on a board members door at 4:30am asking if she could hold these two dogs. We agreed to but had to take them for stray hold to acc in the morning. Their owners never came .. luckily for them. They were breeder dogs so we thought they would for sure come for them. Unfortunately .. BamBam came down with kennel cough while doing his stray hold ( if we could have kept him out we would have ) and we learned Pebbles is sadly heartworm positive 💔 this was not an expense we were prepared for at around $800 but we made a commitment to them both & we kept it. Welcome Pebbles and BamBam. One mans trash is another mans treasure. They are the absolute sweetest mushballs. They are not bonded*

❗️FOSTERS NEEDED❗️
We want to get these two pups out of the shelter but need two committed fosters. They are at risk for euthanasia and the kennel is no place for them to die alone.

🖤Savannah is a black lab/pittie mix on the smaller side who is terrified in the shelter but loves other dogs. Looking for a Foster with another dog to help continue to bring her out of her shell. We are unsure about cats and small children at this time.
❤️Cooper is a senior pup at 10 years old who just needs a place to chill. He has no major medical issues and does well with other dogs. He loves soft blankets and he even brought his blanket to the kennel door to make sure everyone saw him when they passed by🥺

Please message us if you can help Foster either of these pups so we can get them out and on the road to their forever homes.

Welcome Cami to Mutty Paws. Rescued by PBCFR station #18 & #19 🚒 out of deep mangroves, requiring a water rescue. Her owner decided to not retrieve her and she has officially joined us and will be treated for injuries ( puncture wounds of some sort & leg lameness ). Here is what PBCFR stated:

On Saturday, #PBCFR crews from #Station19 A-Shift had a knock on its door by a couple of fisherman. The fishermen were fishing on the Southwest Fork of the Loxahatchee River and heard a dog in distress, but could not locate the dog. #Firefighters searched the bank of the river and were able to locate the dog. They could not access her due to the thick mangroves and a steep drop off. With the assistance of #Engine18 the crews were able to deploy swimmers and rescue the dog. Animal care and control was notified. Great job Station 19 and Station 18! #AnimalRescue #AlwaysReady #Battalion9 #Battalion1 #AboveAndBeyond
