🎄 🎅 🦴 December calendar models ~ To end the year with a BANG, who else would it be but the Fay pack! NINE different dogs with nine completely different personalities make up our Executive Director’s colorful pack. At 11 years old, Hunter will always be the ring leader. Although retired from dock diving and therapy work, he spends his days keeping his mom company at work. Dubbed “the Queen of the house” and head of the hunting pack, 9-year-old Vixen loves nothing more than hunting hogs with her sister Pumpkin, also 9. Vixen is a true Daddy’s girl, who does no wrong in Dad’s eyes! Pumpkin was one of the Fay’s first dogos, and can usually be found rolling in mud or carrying her stuffed “baby” around! Next we have the twins, Kadena and Moxy. These girls are Mama’s girls, and Kadena is an unofficial DC Dogos volunteer as she is the perfect “intro” dogo! Moxy can be found doing whatever she can to get her Mom’s attention, including fighting off the baby of the pack ... Daisy! While small in size, Daisy has the biggest personality! She loves her fur-siblings more than anything, and truly believes she’s there to keep them all in line. Daisy also loves racing around with Rain and Storm, their 2 hog hunting Black Mouth Curs. Slick is a lovable Jagd Terrier and though he is the smallest, he is by far the fiercest of the hunting pack. We love this fun-loving, adventurous, sweet and comical pack so much, and the dogos are what started it all for our rescue. Without them we wouldn’t be the rescue we are today! Happy Holidays from the Fays! 🐾 #dcdogos #dcdogoscalendarfundraiser #dcdogoscalendar #dogoargentino #dedicatedtosavingdogos

Check out this hambone! Henry is our newest intake and needs a foster. He is still a pup, maybe 9-10 months old, and is as sweet as can be. He is crate trained and is learning good house manners. He is very treat motivated and an extremely smart boy. Henry appears to be good with other dogs; unknown how he is with kids or cats so he needs a home with no small kids and able to keep other animals separated in the home if need be. He is currently in Fort Lauderdale. Transport can be arranged for approved fosters/adopters out of state.
Visit dcdogos.org/foster to fill out a foster app if you can help this precious pup.

🤍 Our update on Gina & her pups...
So many of you have reached out and asked about Gina and her puppies. We had a feeling her pregnancy was going to be high risk but that didn't prepare us, especially for Ami, for what was to come.
Gina did amazing and delivered 5 puppies (4 girls and a boy). Her delivery was a struggle but Ami & Kev sacrificed sleep for days to care for her and the pups. The puppies were all beautiful but none of them survived 💔. The only boy, Burt, made it for a week before he decided to join his sisters over the Rainbow Bridge. All of them are buried together in alumni Starr's Garden where they will forever be a family. 🌈
Gina did mourn but today she is doing phenomenal and even gets the zoomies for her food! She loves to snuggle with he ma and she is a very happy girl. Gina's welfare and wellbeing was Ami's first priority and she did an amazing job to make sure Gina was OK!
We found out that Gina is Heartworm Positive a couple days after giving birth. She was tested before but their test must have missed it, this happens more often than you know. She will stay put and be cared for with all the love possible until she is heartworm free.
Thank you for all the support and although this is a sad update we are also so happy that Gina is doing great and getting the love she so much deserves. Rescue has proven to be extremely heartbreaking. We all laugh together but we all cry together over dogs most of us never even got to meet or hold.
Let this post be a reminder about the importance of spay/neuter and Heartworm prevention. Gina has been through it all and we will make sure she never has to again!
Also note, we saved her along with Tommy and he is currently in boarding ($$$) because we don't have a foster for him. If you can help sponsor boarding or foster we would appreciate it! If you are a @bonjovi fan you may have noticed that were named after Tommy and Gina from the song "Living on a Prayer"!
🎸 Rock On Gina & Tommy, we all love you! #dcdogos #dedicatedtosavingdogos #weloveyouginadcdogos
📣Urgent foster needed!!
Bravo will be heading back to the shelter if we cannot find him a foster!!
Bravo is an owner surrender located in Homestead FL. He was surrendered to MDAS a few months back but the owner ended up going back to the shelter to pick him up hoping to give him some time to find a forever home. Now it is urgent he finds a home ASAP or else he will find himself back at the shelter. Bravo is a 2-year-old male; UTD on shots; neutered. He has not had much socialization outside of the home. He currently lives outside since the child in the home is highly allergic. He lives with a female pitbull and does well with her. Unknown how he is with other dogs so he needs a home where you can keep dogs separated at first. No cats. He is friendly with people and needs someone who will put some work into him as he hasn't had much training. Transport can be arranged for fosters that are out of state. Please fill out a foster application if you can help this sweet boy ➡️ dcdogos.org/foster #dcdogos #dedicatedtosavingdogos #fosterneeded #urgent #fosteringsaveslives
