This is Tabitha’s story. Not all cats we rescued are like her and we do indeed take in very nice and easy kitties too. However FFF has a soft spot to help the underdogs and more often than not the cats requires extra medical care.

Tabitha is one of those cats that let’s say isn’t appealing to many rescues.
She was rescued at the very end of 2018 where her feeder brought her and her kitten to Chicago Animal Care and Control. Sat at the shelter for almost 3 months. We rescued her as a foster to adopt but unfortunately after 7 months of things not working out she was given back to our rescue President. It took 1 year and half before we were able to pet her!! Well thanks to FFF she has a (foster) home that she seems determined not to leave

Do you have a cuddling buddy? 🤗
It is so nice to have someone 🐾 to snuggle with that will warm your heart and soul too💕. Now that the days are colder 🌧🌬❄️ and we spend more time at home it is a purrfect time to add a new family member (or two, why not?!).

Frosty and Smokey are available and hoping to become the best snuggle buddy to their human(s).
Frosty and Smokey are equally stunning looking and super sweet. They met at PetCo in Lake Zurich and became great buddies. Both come across as a touch shy at first but as soon as you approach them (gently) they will show you their chin and will take all the love you can give them! Lap cats in disguise, they need a home on a quieter side and with older children / grown up that will give them a little time to adjust and show their true colors. By the way, they are playful don’t be fooled by the pics.

Let us tell you that to see a shy cat coming out of his shell and blossom, is one of the most amazing and rewarding feelings. So give kitties like Smokey and Frosty a chance. They can be adopted as a pair or separately to a home that has a friendly resident cat who will like to cuddle and nap 😴 with them.

You can visit them along with Ziggy and Raiden at PetCo in Lake Zurich (IL). An approved adoption application is needed.
The good news is you only have to complete it once, and it is valid for all the cats at our rescue, available for adoption. Our fabulous adoption counselors work very hard to match the cat(s) with adoptive families that meet their requirements. 🙌❤️

So happy for them all and what a great way to start the “Adopt A Senior Pet” month by seeing our 10 and half years old Earl snuggling with his new mama Anita.

Thank You 🙏🏻 to all the volunteers, fosters, and adopters who made our Adoption Event at PetSmart a great success 👏🏻. 7 cats 🐾 were adopted that day and we received 11 additional applications that are being worked on.🙌

Each of these cats and kittens has its own unique story and came from different shelters/animal control. Often we do not have their background but what we know is that because of the hard work of the FFF village, they can start a new chapter. And that makes us all proud and emotionally rewarded 🥰
