If a starving momma and her kittens showed up at your doorstep… would you turn them away or show a little compassion?

Deanna Brown started by simply feeding the kitties in case they belonged to the neighbors, which they did 😢 With the neighbors not wanting them, my mom will foster them all ❤️

Now we just need your help to get them basic vet care (dewormer, vaccines, combo test, flea/tick preventative, spay/neuter). Having received NO VETTING prior, we estimate $180 per cat with our rescue discount.

Here’s our Girl update! ❤️

It turns out that Girl had no vetting outside of a rabies vaccine, so we unexpectedly had to spay and have a large mammary tumor removed today. She also received all of her vaccines today, and she is heartworm negative and microchipped 😊

We would like to thank the foster who said “yes” and saved her from going to a shelter and to all of you who helped to get her this vet care. YOU ALL rescued her 🥰

Girl is settling in to her foster home now and we will post more updates once we get to know her 🥰

Gertrude- This little old Lady is a hospice case. We are simply starting with bloodwork. She has no teeth and is deaf and close to being blind.

Athena- This 3-year-old girl is HW+ and will need a chest X-ray, Doxy, and prednisone to start

Girl- She is 11-years-old and in danger of going to the shelter. The owners “need her gone by tomorrow,” which means we need to get her spayed and vaccinated tomorrow.

We are two weeks post-op! 4 more weeks of crate rest to go. She is not a fan of this whole “I go potty then right back inside” deal.

I am heartbroken to write this, but it is time for Gracie to peacefully make the journey across the rainbow bridge 🌈

I am not ready to let her go, but Gracie has let me know that she is ready 💔 Giving them peace and comfort is the most selfless thing we can do, as heartbreaking as it is 😭

We are on day 3 of Gracie not wanting to eat. I kept hoping it was the chemo treatment or her new antibiotic. But it is her spirit that is gone 😢 She is no longer her happy wiggle-butt little self. She will not leave her favorite spot on the couch for anything, as that’s the only time she is comfortable.

Knowing that last night may be her last, we tried to cross some items off her bucket list. We went for a hike, had a steak dinner, got an ice cream cone, and watched a sunset. All things that she could not even enjoy 💔

Gracie has been urinating blood for literally 6 months before we rescued her. By the time we got her, her bladder tumor was the largest our vet has ever seen. I was hopeful with chemotherapy and piroxicam (bladder cancer med), we could at least make her more comfortable and buy her some more time. I think we did, but that time is just never long enough. And now it’s time to let her go 😭

We are so sad to announce that Mickey gained his wings tonight 💔 Mickey passed peacefully on his own, in his mom’s lap, and next to his best friend Frankie 😭 Mickey had a rough life before rescue, but at least he finally felt how a dog could and should be treated thanks to his hospice mom, Lori. RIP sweet boy 🌈

This sweet boy just cries and cries to come inside. We want to help him find an indoor home before it gets too cold.
