5 year old Frankie did not have to die. Heartworm is preventable. On the day most pet owners are medicating their dogs against this despicable parasite, Frankie cuddled with his favorite human, his foster dad, and passed away. He was 3 days post treatment number 2 for the heartworms swimming in his blood. It was more than he could handle. He joins his sister Macy who went before him with the same infection.
