Happy Halloween from Papa and all of us at Old Dogs New Digs 🎃 👻 👹!!!
Meet a Sammy and Maggie in Colorado!!!
We’ve had some great fosters step-up so that we were able to pull 15 yr old Sammy and 9 yr old Maggie from 2 different Colorado shelters in the last couple of days!
It’s funny because they both have these adorable ears that won’t stop and beautiful silvery faces, and they are both totally amazing!!!!
We’ve already taken Sammy to the vet and other than needing to go on some joint supplements and a special prescription food she is doing amazingly well for a 15-year-old girl. Maggie has her vet appointment coming up pretty soon, but for now she is just settling into her new foster home and doing great!
Thank you to all of our amazing fosters and adopters for helping us be able to help amazing dogs like this!!!! If you are interested in Fostering too, here is the link to our online foster application:

Meet 11 year old Opal in Colorado!!!
Little Opal arrived at a Colorado shelter as a stray, and has been pretty terrified in that environment so we are looking for a special adopter or foster that has the time and patience to help Opal feel safe and loved. She definitely feels more comfortable when she’s around other small dogs, so we think a home with a well balanced, confident small dog could really help her come out of her shell. Because she his so terrified we are suggesting a mature household.
If you are interested in helping this little gem please email us at woof@olddogsnewdigs.
Thanks, and please share!!!

Daisy is looking for a forever home in Colorado!
This adorable little 8 year old sweetie is Daisy, and she is absolutely amazing!!! She is smart, affectionate, and loves her people so much. She is house trained, heals on walks and has a cute little 2 legged shuffle as you can see in the video.
Daisy can live with the right dogs, but what she cares about most are her humans so we are looking for someone who is home a lot to shower Daisy with tons of love and attention. She needs a kitty free home and we think a home without young kids would be best.
Daisy had been a stray and ended up at the shelter intact and with malignant mammary tumors. She has since been spayed and had the tumors removed, and we recently had x-rays done that showed there was no metastasis!!! Yay!!! She also just had a dental so she is feeling (and smelling) good, and is finally ready for her forever home.

Sweet Lola has been patiently waiting way far Downeast, but this past weekend she made the trek to a wonderful foster home in Standish. We knew that Lola was affectionate and happy, but now we're learning a lot more about her! Lola adores car rides and going for walks/sniffs. She will pull if she sees a small critter, but otherwise is easy to walk. Lola loves to snuggle, but prefers sleeping on the couch or her bed. She does very well when home alone, and chirps at the door (how adorable is that?!?) when she needs to go out. Being brushed is fabulous, as is laying in the sun.
Lola is a low-maintenance 11 year old pup who really just wants to be around people. She likes other dogs but we don't think she would do well with cats. She is about 65 lbs but could lose a little weight. She is quite healthy & ready to join her forever family!

We are so happy to share that Montana got adopted by a wonderful couple, and he has got it made!!!! They are head over heals in love with him, and he is going to be spoiled rotten from here on out❤️. We are so thankful to Montana’s foster mom for taking such great care of him, and to everyone else who helped to make this happy tail possible!!!
Meet Teddybear in Colorado!!!!
This beautiful Senior chow mix ended up at a shelter as a stray in pretty rough condition, but she has gotten some veterinary care and TLC and she is doing so much better!!!! We think she is around 12 years old, and with a few medications for her arthritis she is vibrant and full of life! She’s getting along with other dogs and loving humans, so we are starting the search for her forever home. She’s currently waiting on a dental and spay surgery, but it would be great if she could go right into a foster-to-adopt situation so that she can start settling into her forever hime while she waits for he veterinary procedures. And once she’s through that, the adoption could be finalized.
Teddybear loves people, and enjoys other dogs. Do you think she would do best in a home where people are around a lot. She’s housetrained, does great in the car and is an all around awesome dog!!!
We are partnering with the Humane Society of Weld County to find Teddybear the forever home of her dreams. If you are interested please fill out our online adoption survey: https://www.olddogsnewdigs.com/adoption-survey/

We are so happy to share that Norton got adopted and has a new best friend❤️! He is such a sweet old guy, and we just know he will make his new human companion so happy (and vice versa). We are so thankful to Norton‘s foster for taking such good care of him, to the Marquis family for helping with transport and to our friends at Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills for helping to make this happy tail possible.

Looking for a foster home for Sammy in Colorado!
If we find a foster home for this amazing 15 yr sweetie, we can pull her from the shelter and make sure she has an amazing last chapter. She has lived well with kids and cats, and was dog tested at the shelter with another mellow senior and did well with her. She has no vision in her left eye, but seems to have some in her right, and she does have some arthritis. But she does still have a pep in her step for a 15-year-old which is pretty amazing!!! She also has a super positive attitude and is the sweetest old girl❤️. If you live in Boulder, Lafayette, Louisville, Longmont, Loveland, Fort Collins or surrounding areas and are interested in fostering Sammy please fill out our fosters survey: https://www.cognitoforms.com/OldDogsNewDigs/OldDogsNewDigsFosterSurvey
And please share for Sammy🙏🙏🙏
We have some great news……. Molly’s foster family decided to make her a permanent member of the family, and we couldn’t be happier!!! She needed just the right situation, and she found it!!! Some people call this a foster failure, but we definitely call it a success!!!
