ADOPTABLE
APOLLO
Meet Apollo! This handsome guy is 2-3 years old. Apollo is a super energetic, sweet, and loving dog. He loves adventures & hikes, cuddling, and his kong toys. He would do well in a home with another female dog who matches his same energy, or in a house with cats. Apollo is crate trained and house trained.
He knows basic commands (sit, lay down, off, and “in your house” when he needs to go to his kennel) and is willing to learn more for some treats! Sadly, Apollo is not a first timer at MPP. This sweet boy has a bit of stranger danger and is uncomfortable with new people, particularly men. Apollo needs an experienced adopter who is willing to work with him and understand that he is a fearful boy from his abusive past. He would benefit from formal training to get to the core issues of why he is so scared. Apollo has been great around kiddos in the past but because he is nervous around new people we are currently looking for a home with older children for him.
Is anyone willing to love this boy? He is so worth it 🙏🏼🤍 located in Butte, Montana

ATHENA
Oh, this perfect little squishy faced girl is so eager to find her forever home. Athena is 2-3 years old. She was used for making babies and never taken care of. We saved her from a kill shelter in Texas, and this poor girl has been through a nightmare since then. She has had multiple surgery’s to fix her prolapsed rectum. We thankfully think Athena is finally on the upper end! Her ideal home would be: *kitty free*, an active family who will exercise & play with her, a family with a dog or dogs her age and her energy level, or both! This beautiful girl is located in the Missoula Montana area and she is ready for you to meet today 🤍

MISSOULA MT📍
MPP dogs are in need of some volunteers that would love to give a break to some of our pups in boarding!
We have some higher energy pups that could really benefit from an out and about! Why hike or run alone when you can take a rescue dog?
Kennel environments can be very stressful and these pups are in need of some fun!
Message us if interested. ❤️
Ramsey, Athena & Gunner from left to right. All adoptable and all in boarding in the Missoula area. 🐾

SPARKLES, OUR LOVE.✨
When we pulled Sparkles two weeks ago, we had no idea what was to come. You see, our intake is still closed as we are having a very hard time in Montana adopting some of our harder to place pups. Something about Sparkles… she’s was calling out to us. She had obvious signs of neglect, and at under a year old you could tell from the look on this sweet face she deserved a chance. Being an owner surrender, we felt so bad for this mangey baby. With the help of some amazing Texas folks & a foster we were able to get Sparkles free. Sadly, her health declined fairly quickly once she left the shelter. First, she was diagnosed with kennel cough. But as the cough didn’t improve, she started showing signs of what we believed to be distemper, parvo or worse. With a temperature of 104, her foster rushed her to an emergency vet clinic where she has been for the last 5 days. There have been many things to happen in the last 5 days, but what is most important for everyone to know is that we tried. Very hard. And Sparkles fought very hard. After $10,000 in bills, and watching her take many more steps back than forward, with the advice of veterinarian professionals, we knew we had to make a very hard choice.
We feel so incredibly blessed to have the support we do. It’s truly been overwhelming to see the help come in for this girl the last few days. We raised over half her bill, which we are absolutely thrilled about. To have to deliver this news to all the people who have prayed for her, is beyond devastating.
We do not want to plead, but do still need your help. Even your morning coffee money, it helps. Our account is drained and our hearts feel the same. We never expected this, but we never give up on a dog we have committed too.
Run free, Spark. Away from this cruel world. We are so glad that your foster dad got to show you love that you likely never had. We know that if our love could have saved you, you’d have lived a long healthy life. You will never know the impact you have made on this Montana rescue. Please watch over us and all the other good dogs we have lost along the way. We will meet you at the bridge🌈🐾

Can anyone in the Houston area help us with this sweet girl? She has been waiting so long to finally make it to Montana and now we can’t find her a ride to transport 😭 she needs a ride from boarding in Sealy, Texas to either Rosharon, Texas tonight or tomorrow before 1130 am or to Pearland, Texas tomorrow by 1230 pm. Can anyone help us? Please message the page directly if you can! 🙏🏼
Updated invoice from our Sparkle post. Low estimate is $4000 for 24 hours of care. We really need all the support and prayers for this sweet girl ❤️🙏🏼🐾

Sparkle is very sick with pneumonia 😞 she’s had such a crappy life, an owner surrender when she’s just a puppy and now we are worried she won’t get to live the happy life she deserves. Had it not been for her foster stepping up, she would surly not be here today. If you all could say a prayer for her, we would really appreciate it. The MPP family has already suffered great loss this week and we cannot stand to lose Sparkle. If you can, please help us with her emergency bills (we are well over $3000 owed this far and just sent her into the ER) We truly do not deserve dogs 😥💔🙏🏼🤞🐾

Story time for one of our pups Gunner.
You see.. We rescued Gunner last spring from euthanasia at a rural shelter in Kansas.
He landed in Missoula MT and went into an amazing foster home.. a few weeks went by and we thought we found a forever home for him. We placed him, we thought things were going well, certainly not perfect but let’s be honest; adopting a rescue dog is hardly ever perfect in the beginning. 🤷🏻♀️
These adopters passed our adoption process, and we trusted them to reach out to us if they needed any assistance or guidance with Gunner, like we do for all our dogs. We are always supportive of our dogs, no matter what. We love them like they are our own.
A few weeks went by and we heard nothing. Fast forward a couple more weeks and Gunner turned up at the Humane Society in Missoula. His new family dropped him off there and pretended he was a stray. They said nothing to us, we reached out to them multiple times and were left with no response. 😒 We would have taken Gunner back with open arms, but instead gunner was left at a shelter AGAIN feeling lost and abandoned. 💔
Gunner is back in the care of MPP and is dreaming of a family of his own. Forever this time.
Gunner is a GOOD BOY and didn’t deserve to be discarded like that, especially by people we trusted. Our hearts break for him, like they break everyday for dogs everywhere that are abandoned like Gunner was.
Can you help us get this sweet boy adopted by sharing this post? He’s dog friendly. A bit rambunctious so we are recommending older kiddos. He’s just another big puppy.
Let’s get Gunner HOME 🏡 ❤️
