“PANYA is my lil’ mini-Shepherd💕 She’s like a big/little dog (if that makes any sense)! She has medium energy (I would say low, but she loves to go on walks & go to the dog park NOW that we’ve built up her confidence)!🎉

You should have seen her ONE week ago (when I picked her up from transport). Tail tucked.. ears hidden back, you barely knew they existed.. ninja zig-zag leash moves🙈

Today, she is a happy dog and now makes her ‘rounds’ to people & dogs at the dog park! Yeah, you read that right😜 I also make sure to PET (or positively reinforce w/ my voice) THE BEHAVIORS THAT I WANT HER TO REPEAT (sniffing people✅, walking next to me with a loose leash✅, etc) and nottttt petting the scared, nervous behaviors.

I actually learned these methods from watching @packleaderdogs —once I noticed that so many of my fosters were continuing to improve with this ‘mindset’, I knew that there was a method to the madness lol. Yes… Steve (from PLD) is right!! You don’t want to coddle a scared dog. AT ALL. Otherwise, they start to think, “Oh! If I get nervous, my pawrents will give me affection… I should do this shaking thing again!”😭 @packleaderdogs, feel free to follow up in our comments- you always explain it better than I do!❤️

SOOOOO… bye bye, shy PANYA… here comes the new & improved Panya! She still gets spooked by things here & there, but recovers quickly. Just start running w/ her a but to get her confidence up, say her name & WHOOP- her tail will be up again🤘

This former mama (to 5 puppies):
*gets along well with my grouchy Chihuahua (and when he snaps at her, she walks away or keeps her distance)
*does all her business outside!
*loves being brushed
*goes belly-up for rubbies
*takes treats gently
*would be a great dog for someone who’s never owned one before (but is willing to learn)!

“QUINCY warms up quickly and becomes a cuddle bug quite quickly!❤️ He has the cutest mustache!! Quincy trills, which is apparently really rare (just Google: ‘cat trills’ and you’ll see what I mean)!😍

This cutie licks hands (lol), enjoys playing with his mouse and especially loves post-meal cuddles. He meeps, eats like a pig and is as sweet as 🥧 Quincy also gets along great w/ other cats (I have 2), which is a major bonus!😜”

“Meet our new foster, GIGI (although we have been calling him Rodney bc he has Rod Stewart hair)!!🤘

He’s a spry senior at 10 years young and only 7 lbs! He’s deaf and missing some patches of hair, but we will get him fixed up in no time❤️🐶

Speaking of ‘fixed’… he needs to get neutered ASAP! He humps beds NON-STOP🙈 I thought Doby (our dog) was bad, but he puts him to shame😂 I had to pick up all beds bc he will obsessively hump them for hours lol.” @robyn_a_obrien

MAMAS was found & brought to the @nycacc as a ‘stray’ about 2 years ago & then was adopted shortly there after.

Well, she found herself at the ACC AGAIN this past week, surrendered by her previous owners. [‼️Note: We are not coming down on the previous owners… if we’ve learned anything from this #pandemic, it’s that we NEVER know what someone is going through financially or emotionally. So, this post is to share & celebrate MAMAS rescue🙏 She’s officially part of our #pupstarzpack ❤️ and we feel lucky to have her under our care!!!!]

Look who arrived this morning… it’s FALCON!🎉

On our way to meet his foster @toastnoller, he modeled for us (at every traffic spot lol) as if he was a movie star, enjoyed playing with his new orange football to no end, looked at the Brooklyn Bridge with wide eyes and made buddies with so many doggies & people (through the window)!🤣
