Sadie had a massive litter of 17 puppies. Out of the 15 surviving babies, 6 are being round the clock bottle fed.

Out of this 6, two of them aren’t gaining weight as steadily as the others. We are concerned with the little guy in the video, his movements are worrisome and not like the others.

He and some of his siblings are being taken to the vet this week for further examination. We are hoping that he and his siblings will be alright.. we will know more soon.

🚨KIRA🚨

Kira was supposed to have her 2& 3rd heartworm injections this week. Last night, a lump was noticed between her shoulder blades and it prompted an emergency vet visit. She has been lethargic & we are unsure if this is heartworm treatment related or from something more serious.

Her heartworm treatment & her adoption for Saturday have been postponed. 🥺 We want our girl to be well before going home.

Here’s what was done:
❗️Bloodwork
❗️Ultrasound
❗️Fine needle aspiration to the growth
❗️Culture
❗️Parasite test

Her bloodwork came back slightly elevated & we will have the needle aspiration results in 2 weeks. She had also lost 4# since her last vet visit.

She has been started on antibiotics & probiotics in case this an infection. We don’t know the results yet, but we are hoping for the best case scenario. Post results, we will work with the vet team to determine when to resume heartworm treatment.

Her babies have since been adopted, and she has an amazing home waiting for her. We want you to be well momma Kira. You are so deserving.

We want to give a warm welcome to little Miss Rosie to Strong Paws Rescue.

She was pulled from the urgent euthanasia list at Memphis animal services in TN. She is just a 6 month old puppy, who is experiencing kennel stress. Unfortunately, in a packed to the hilt shelter, this is sadly a death sentence. Shelters cannot say no to intaking animals from the public. 😞

Dolly boi here. I heard we have a fitness theme. Just showing off my 12 pack 😏

I have been feeling slightly better with the help of anxiety medicine. I am able to focus on the commands my foster pawrents have been teaching me. Swipe and you’ll see that I’ve learned “paws up.”

I am slowly acclimating to home life, it has taken some time. My foster mom was really happy that on my own, I walked over and sat next to Mowgli for 5 minutes last week. I usually like having my own space in my crate or on my bed, but I’m learning that Mowgli is safe & is my friend.

Thank you for believing in me. I’m still jumpy to sudden movements and noises, but I’m slowly learning that I am safe here. 💗🐾
