MEET JOHNNY!!!!💙
This sweet 2 year old Boxer is basically the perfect companion. If you’re looking for a balance between fun and snuggles, look no further!

“Johnny is the sweetest boxer you will ever meet! He loves (in no particular order), long walks, saying hello to every person & dog, cuddling in your lap, and playing 24/7!

The perfect family for him would be either a very active individual or a family with a lot of yard space for him to run!
Johnny loves all dogs and children, but isn't the biggest fan of cats.

He is housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, and already knows some simple tricks (like sit & paw!). He loves all toys, but especially loves squeak toys. He also enjoys all treats and has been eating Acana Freshwater Fish Recipe.
He is an extremely active dog, but also loves a good cuddle session.

His personality is EXTREMELY loving and goofy! He is all around a great dog and would be an amazing addition to just about any household!

MEET RAVEN!

Meet Raven, a gorgeous German Shepherd mix who just arrived from Texas! Some of her favorite activities are playing with you, taking frequent naps with her favorite bunny, getting attention from her favorite humans, and going on walks.

Raven is the perfect match for anyone who wants a deep, strong connection with their dog. She's incredibly smart and protective and would benefit from someone who enjoys training just as much as she does! Her entire world revolves around her "person". She already knows several commands and picks up new ones quickly. She's active and would be a great hiking or running companion. Although she would love a yard to romp around in, Raven is adjusting to the sights and sounds of city life. Someone with German Shepherd experience is preferred, but not required. Raven is a wonderful dog who simply needs some structure and consistency in her life so she understands how to act in different situations.

Her foster mom says: "Raven is happiest simply being at her person's side. She loves exploring and sniffing her way through Prospect Park. She loves rolling in grass! It's so sweet, she'll almost dive down when we reach a grassy patch of the park and sprawls out so much it's hard to get her whole body in the frame of a photo! Raven almost seems more like a fox than a dog when she sniffs around my backyard - she likes to patrol each wall to and corner to know exactly who else has been there. She also has an incredible nose - the rats that live in my backyard (a quintessential New York experience, to be sure) somehow got their paws on a little bone that belonged to my neighbor's dog and hid it behind some storage baskets. Raven was able to find it within minutes of visiting my yard for the first time, so I'd recommend her adopter start casual scent work training with her!".

MEET ADOPTABLE BANKSY! 💜 [FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO ADOPT AVAILABLE]

Banksy (also called Banks) is such a sweet girl! Originally from Texas, Banksy made the trip up to NYC in February. She is almost 2 (will be 2 in January) and has such a sweet, playful personality. She LOVES cuddling, playing fetch, and long walks. She has gotten used to city life and loves walks in Central Park, but equally loves being able to run around in a backyard in the suburbs. She is a bit shy when first meeting people, but warms up after a few minutes. Very young children still make Banks a little nervous with all the loud noises and fast movements, but she would do very well with middle-aged children who understand they may need to be gentle at first when getting to know her.

Banksy is fully housebroken, knows to sit, wait and come when called. She is well behaved when sitting outside at restaurants and in stores as well. She will be fine to sleep in her bed, your bed, or a crate - she is equally happy in any of them :) Banks loves her purple squeaky ball and benebones to chew on. She eats Solid Gold food and has also eaten American Journey. She LOVES the blueberry flavor of Whole Hearted dog treats.

Banksy has gone to Eva's Play Pups several times for camp and has had a blast making new friends with the other dogs. She has a lot of energy and is a strong girl, so would do well with a dog with a similar size. She has never been around a cat. She is used to wearing a head collar when walking on leash and also is fine in a harness. Does Banksy sound like she might be the right fit for you? PUPDATE: ADOPTED MEET PEEWEE 💙

This handsome fella is Peewee, a husky mix who just arrived from Texas. Don’t let his name fool you…Peewee is one big 50lb package of love. This sweet husky has a lot of energy and needs plenty of exercise, but he’ll spend the rest of the day away snuggled up next to you - or on coolest surface in the house!

He is housebroken and sleeps through the night comfortably in his crate. He loves people and is quick to present himself for belly rubs or offer polite face kisses. Some of his favorite activities are getting head scratches, dinner time, running around in the park, and sniffing the grass.

Peewee is a huge fan of the outdoors, loves to go for long walks and would be a great running or hiking buddy! He is working on perfecting his leash skills as he can get a bit too excited on walks (he just loves being outside so much!), but he does well with stopping and starting, changing direction, and sitting when necessary. He is treat motivated inside with fewer distractions. He’s also an excellent running buddy, keeping pace right beside you on a short leash without pulling.

His foster mom says: "Peewee likes other dogs, but needs to work on his manners - sometimes he’s leaping with an excitement that a smaller dog may not share. He’s also been reactive with a larger dog, but mostly at the sudden lack of personal space he experienced. He can be quite polite if the other dog is too. With time and patience, I think he’ll be wonderful with any dog he encounters".

Peewee needs an active family outside of the city/in the suburbs, with a big fenced in yard for him to run around in. Peewee would love a Husky-savvy family and maybe even a doggy sibling to play with! Someone who has the time, dedication, and most importantly, lots of love to give him. MEET MONA💜

This 1 year old Great Pyrenees is basically the perfect pal. If you want a snuggle buddy and a take everywhere kind of pup - she’s your gal!!

From her madly-in-love foster dad:
“Mona is just the sweetest girl I’ve ever fostered. She loves attention and saying hi to everyone she walks by. She has a very curious demeanor - checks out every new sight and sound. She loves to just rest her head in your lap or on your shoulder to get pet.

She’s still a little nervous about to her new surroundings in New York City. She just moves a little slowly and needs encouragement across streets and up and down stairs. But she’s learning and adapting very quickly and will be perfect for any environment in no time. She is great around my little dog Moe and is very patient with other dogs at the park.

If she doesn’t win you over with her calm demeanor, it will be with every new look she gives and accomplishment she makes.

I really cannot say enough about her. I love her so much.”

“Eliza Hamilton is 37 pounds of pure love. She enjoys sitting in laps, sunbathing, curling into a ball on her dog bed, and giving kisses.

She loves kids and other dogs (we have both) and rarely barks. She’s a tad clumsy on the leash still, preferring to walk between your legs but is quickly redirected and training should be a breeze. She’s also almost there on house training.

At the park and in the neighborhood she is already a crowd favorite with kids asking, “mom, please can we keep her” as she buries her head in their laps and snuggles in closer.

“Brooks is a 7 year old Wiener mix with the cutest silkiest bat ears looking for his forever home. Originally from Texas, he is trying to make sense of big city life. He is a zippy, happy pup whose joyous loving personality will put a smile on everyone's face.
He gets along with children, dogs and cats and follows his favorite human around like a little cute hot dog shaped shadow and if he's not napping right beside you, will amuse you with his adorable Wiener dog talk. Brooks is very affectionate and bonds strongly with his human and is ideally looking for someone who can spend a lot of time with him.

Brooks is housebroken and gets along well with everyone, including kids, dogs and cats. He is currently working on perfecting his leash skills and needs pawrents who are prepared for the breed's vocalness.”

“Leaf is a really amazing dog. He’s so calm and does not get easily riled up; he’s really the perfect demeanor. He loves going on walks, but he also loves to cuddle and take naps. He is housebroken and walks well on a leash. We gave him a bath and he was very well behaved in the tub.

He’s incredibly friendly with other people (including children), dogs, and our cat. He would do fine in the city as he isn’t easily scared and loves going to the park.
So far, he prefers wet food but is not a big eater. He has some interest in toys but is very low energy. He loves to give kisses too!

She LOVES to play by herself and be surrounded by her squeaky toys. Lucy is fully potty trained and has basically had zero accidents. After a good walk Lucy is ready for a nap until her next walk. She is both active and a couch potato - best of both worlds!

MEET GEORGIA🍑

That’s super sweet two year old small terrier mix is looking for her forever family.
From her foster mom:

"I’m so so in love with her that it hurts!!!!
Sweet sweet Georgia is a very active, playful, cuddly girl! She loves rope toys and walks. She has a ton of energy and would go on 20 walks a day, turning some of them into runs, if it was up to her!

She is an occasional leash tugger, but overall a great and enthusiastic walker! She needs a tad extra attention on trash days, because she loves to find “yummy” trash. :) She is generally very excited to meet passers by, but does sometimes growl/bark at other nearby doggies or humans, though she doesn’t mean anything bad by it!

She’s sometimes a bit rough when her playfulness or excitement of someone coming home get the best of her, so she might not be best in a home with children because of it.

In terms of food not from outside, she prefers wet food, but will sometimes go for dry if you add water to make it semi-wet food!

She might try to snuggle her way out of it, but is good at going into her crate when she needs to.

Because she is so active, she needs a home with a good amount of space with a backyard or near a park, and with people who know they will want to burn energy with her daily!

She’d be best with a situation where someone works from home or where she could be taken to work, so she can fulfill her exercise, play and cuddle needs!”

MEET HERSHEY💜
She’s a one year old, 23lb doxie/chi/maybe min pin mix although her record says Doberman mix!

From her foster mom:
“Hershey is a quick learner - for example: she was afraid of stairs but not anymore.
She loves snuggling and follows everywhere. She doesn't sleep with me (crate in the living room). She howled a little bit the first night but no howling after the second night.
She doesn't bother me when I sit on the work chair but she wants to sit when I am on the sofa. Seems Hershey wants to stay with me on her side so she basically follows me everywhere.
She is a baby and still learning.

She tends to jump on other dogs to play which scare other dogs. But I see that she just simply wants to play but she gets too excited when dogs are around her.”

We think she would do well in an active home that gives her lots of time to let out her energy and socialize with other dogs either in a dog park, playgroups or on a long walk.

“Say hello to Lady! This well-mannered 2 year old Chihuahua mix loves snuggling, napping, and wagging her tail.
She does great on walks and is fully potty-trained – zero accidents with her fosters!

Lady is probably not going to be your new running buddy, but she loves her regular walks and would do best in a moderately active home. She has done well in limited interactions with kids and is wary but interested around other dogs.”

Lady was fostered in Texas with two children under 8, other dogs and two cats. She’s an easy addition to any home!

Overall, Lady is a sweet and gentle dream dog who would do well in almost any home."
