LAH LAH needs a new foster home!!!

If you are looking for a cat who is stand-offish and doesn’t like to be touched, Lah-Lah is NOT the cat for you. The moment he sees you in the morning, he will greet you with a string of excited meows, happy to have company for the new day. He loves to be petted with gusto, and purrs loudly to show his appreciation. At 13, he plays like a much younger cat, batting at his flying mouse toy and pouncing on string.

In his foster home, Lah-Lah has met a variety of people, and has been curious and social with everyone. He has a good appetite, uses his litter box like an expert, is a big fan of catnip, and rubs against your ankles, hands, and face with generous affection. He has lived with another cat previously and is respectful of the resident foster cat. Lah-Lah is clearly a cat who is ready for—and deserves—a family or best friend; anyone would be lucky to fill that role!

READY FOR RESCUE CONTINUES TO STEP UP -- CAN YOU HELP
Despite needing to put a pause on rescuing new animals because of continuing financial struggles, RFR saved 12 cats in the last two weeks as the situation at the NYC shelters is desperate. Cats and dogs are dying daily because of it. Each cat we took was either a senior with medical issues, kittens requiring extensive vet care or cats with behavior issues which had them scheduled to be down. Check out Myrna and Goldie (she's got more white on her nose), two darling 9-week-old kittens. This dynamic duo will delight one and all with their antics. Typical kittens, they are super playful and love to tussle with each other as well as toys and other nearby objects. They dash around like little furies but settle nicely in for a serious cuddle session. They are quite fond of laps and will curl right up for a snooze enjoying pets and scratches.

Goldie and Myrna are also great with other cats. They'll engage in play and always like to see what the resident kitties are up to. They will make great family pets as kids will love them. Please note THEY MUST GO TOGETHER. Inquire about Goldie and Myrna today!

We are looking for a foster or adopter for Kylo! Kylo is a 5-year old ~70 lb pittie mix overflowing with love and snuggles. This poor boy was taken out of a NYC shelter skinny and dealing with bad skin and ear infections. His coat is now as shiny as ever and his infections are long gone! This is truly a special dog. He wants nothing more than to sit on your feet or lie on the couch with his head on your lap and get scratches for as long as you will give them. If he is lucky enough to be allowed on the bed, he loves to snuggle up as close as he can possibly get and nuzzle his face into you. His absolute favorite things in the whole world are tennis balls. Give him 3 tennis balls and he will entertain himself for hours trying to fit them all in his mouth (he has done it!) and chasing them around the house. He also absolutely loves fetch and watching him gallop after a tennis ball and bring it back is as much fun for us as it is for him.

Kylo truly goes with the flow - he is great with anyone and everyone he meets, is good with dogs, walks well on the leash with a harness, can be left alone for long stretches without issue, and sleeps until 10am if you let him. He does not bark when left alone and does the cutest little groans when he is excited to be taken outside. He is house trained and pees and poops immediately when taken out. He knows sit, stay, come, wait, is excellent off-leash, and should be easy to train for other cues as well. He has shown no signs of resource guarding from humans or other dogs.

Kylo can can get very excited when playing with his tennis balls or playing tug and while not aggressive, he does not always realize quite how big he is. He is very responsive to verbal cues but will need continued training and someone comfortable with a large, strong dog. He has been super gentle with all the children he’s met, but simply because of his size it might be best to have kids over 10. An experienced dog owner will have absolutely no problems with this boy and will have the most amazing, fun-loving buddy to snuggle on the couch or go romping in the park with.

URGENT - SOS FOR SWEET CHIHUAHUA WHO'S MOMMY DIED!
This little gal's mom died and she and the resident cat were left all alone. The building manager kindly got them out today but can't keep her long. She seems super sweet. When the manager left her for a moment, she greeted him at the door when he came back in. Ready for Rescue is looking for a foster so we can take her on. She is currently in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. AWESOME PUP NEEDS OUT OF THE SHELTER
Heartbreaker alert -- Franklin, an incredible, 8 year old, deaf (don't let that put you off -- he gets along fine) Pit Mix is currently at the Babylon shelter on Long Island. And he's an absolute dream. Great with people, dogs and kids (one of the volunteers has a special needs niece that Franklin loves). He's an absolute dream of a dog and he needs a comfy bed to sleep in. Ready for Rescue wants to help him, but we need a foster to step up. Luther has lips! This stunning orange and white tiger tabby is quite the character with his kitty lips and chubby cheeked face. Despite losing his former human, he remains confident, playful, and loving. This adorable mush loves to solicit petting and is a head-butt master. He becomes a kook playing with his cat dancer and is developing quite the addiction to cat nip.

Luther also enjoys the company of his foster dog buddy. He came from a home with several other cats where he liked to roughhouse and be the alpha kitty, so it's unknown if he will get along with all cats (we are assuming it's best if he goes to a home without cats...but we know that he likes mellow and/or friendly dogs!).

Luther is such a great little dude and deserves a forever home where he won't be left homeless ever again. And bonus! Luther had a full dental cleaning, so he will arrive with a mouthful of shiny choppers.
