"Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Chip!"
Chip has just arrived at Gigi's from one of our partner rural shelters. So far Chip has shown himself to be super sweet towards every person he has met here. He loves sitting at your feet and leaning in for pets but is also content to lay on a comfy spot and relax while people talk. He also adores squeaky toys and will entertain himself playing with them while laying on a comfy bed. He is still getting used to walking on a leash and the behavior team at Gigi's is helping make sure he is comfortable with leashing and walking! So far he seems to prefer more laid back dogs to interact with and therefore we recommend he meet any potential doggy housemates before going home to make sure there play style are compatible!
He is very remarkable looking with a big dog body with little dog legs. He weighs in at 85lbs! Gigi's medical team is still making sure his front right leg (which is a little wonky) isn't causing him any trouble before he is adopted out. We have estimated his age to be around 2 years old.

That amazing moment when you find out a once nervous and shy midwest shelter pup like Missy, gets to enjoy their first trip to the beach and that they LOVED it! 🥲

"Miss Lady (Missy) experiencing ocean for first time! She has been playing with her cousin and it's the first time we've seen her do that so it's been quite entertaining. She wasn't scared of the ocean at all and loved chasing the sea gulls!"
