#TeamGolden we can sure use your prayers! 🙏 Golden is back down at the vet in Columbus as he started bleeding from his nose yesterday. While the bleeding has now slowed down, his hematocrit is down to 17 from 30 last week. Please keep him in your prayers! You know what happens when you put your application in and go through GRRR's process to get pre-approved to adopt? You have the opportunity to get a pretty girl like 10 month old Lilo as a foster to adopt member of your family!

This pretty girl was living with a family who had children and was proving to be a bit too much energy for one of the kids that had some physical issues. The family did the right thing by asking GRRR to find her a forever home instead of posting her on Craig's list or Facebook groups, where she could easily fall into the wrong hands.

Now the family will have time to make sure Lilo is a good match while GRRR finishes a little vetting on Lilo. If all goes well, a contract will be signed and she will be adopted and officially a member of their family.

If you wait until you see a dog like Lilo then apply, you most likely will be placed behind applicants that are already approved and miss out! Every reason to get pre-approved to adopt! The first step to do this is to read our adoption policies at www.gr-rescue.org and follow the directions from there. If Lilo become available for adoption, we will let you know here.

Looking for immediate foster help or foster to adopt help for Moose, a Newfoundland, Great Pyrenees mixed dog. He came to us from the Humane Society as he wasn't handling the shelter environment well at all. No one could take him. We did because we had a foster willing, but their dog didn't end up liking Moose in the home. So.....

We are looking for a foster home immediately for this dog. A home who has Newfie and or Pyrenees experience an added bonus. Meet Ziggy! A great new picture will come soon, but for now this will have to do.

Ziggy is a 7 year old boy that was a frequent guest at a dog shelter in PA. The last time he was taken to the dog shelter his family decided they didn't want him back. This was the beginning of Ziggy's new life. See he lived his entire life chained outside. And for a golden retriever who loves being with people, this is pure torture not be a part of the family.

He just arrived in our adoption program. We'll have more information on Ziggy for you soon. If you think you would like to foster Ziggy to adopt, please read our adoption policies. If you qualify, follow the exact directions from there to begin discussions and get an application to adopt if you qualify.

Daisy is a 7 year old puppy mill survivor. A nice woman rescued Daisy when the puppy mill was getting rid of older breeding golden retrievers. Daisy was dumped and pulled by another rescue in Michigan. They contacted us when their foster backed out at the last minute and we stepped in to help. Without good foster homes, rescues cannot rescue dogs in need as most are not vaccinated and cannot be boarded (let alone the expense of boarding).

Daisy was kept outside in a small Igloo dog kennel her whole life. She is a good girl, energetic and will need to learn house manners and house breaking. We will update you more soon. If you are interested in adopting Daisy, the foster does have first opportunity to adopt. If you want to become a foster to adopt home or are interested in Daisy, please read our adoption policies which is the first step to adopt at www.gr-rescue.org and follow the directions from there if you qualify.
