#2 rehoming him on Craigslist and home
#3 literally dumping him to run loose after two days.
We placed Finn in May of 2019, and Finn was surrendered back to us in March of 2020. This is through no fault of Finn's. His momma's life has changed, she is now in a new relationship, with a small child, and working two jobs. Finn has been spending too much time home alone, without enough exercise and without continued socialization.
Finn has been fully vetted, including his neuter, he did have sixty days of basic training in house manners, leash walking, etc., with lots and lots of husky socialization and he became a very nice boy. However now he has taken several steps back in his socialization and needs a home that will follow through with training, visit pet shops with Finn, do pack walks, and doggy play dates.
Finn is house trained, and crate trained. He would do best in an active, husky savvy home. Another husky in the home to continue his social guidance would be a plus. Finn has been fine with the older children he has met, although his exuberance can accidentally knock smaller children down. A home without cats, or small furry creatures would be best.

Today is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, the first day of Winter.
On this night remember those who have earned their silver harnesses. When our beloved companions leave this existence, they are welcomed on "the other side" with a very special gift as a reward for their faithful service on Earth. The Silver Harness has the power to allow them to do the thing they love most. Look out into the night for shooting star, or an unknown flash of light. The reflection of the Silver Harness, as they enjoy their run out on the edge of forever.
We, who are left behind, celebrate the day with stories of our friends. We remember their lives and ours intertwined, with one rule only. We are not allowed to be sad. They are happy, doing what they love, and they sleep soundly every night, next to a fire fueled with memories of our lives together, and wake happy with a dream that ends with our ultimate reunion and inevitable togetherness.
And so, as the light of day fades to the longest night of the year, the tradition is to light one candle for each of our friends that have passed. A positive sign that the dark holds no dominion in our lives, and as a way to remember our companions as the light in our heart that never dims.

Sapphire is a lovely 5mo old husky youngster who came into rescue with her sister Isis. The girls came into rescue with a horrible case of lice. After several weeks of baths and topical treatments, Isis went home a few days ago, now it is Sapphire's turn! Sapphire is ready for a home of her own.
Sapphire keeps a clean crate, and is working on her house training. She walks nicely on a leash, and is a very friendly, outgoing girl.
If you are interested in adopting Sapphire, please email... kaleidoscopek9s@yahoo.com

Please welcome Finnegan back to Kaleidoscope K9s! Finn is now going on two years old, he originally came into rescue from LCDK in early 2019, he was a bit of a wild child at that time.
Finn's second "home" reached out to us and shared that within his first year of life Finn had been in three homes. Home 1 from 8wks to 10mos, and two days in each of his next two homes. With home #2 rehoming him on Craigslist and home #3 literally dumping him to run loose after two days.

Please welcome Koda to Kaleidoscope K9s! Due to no fault of his own, Koda came into rescue as an owner surrender. His owners were no longer able to care for Koda and his feline sibling due to unexpected health hardships.
Koda is a one year old child and dog friendly Siberian Husky. Although he grew up and lived with a cat, any introductions to a new feline should be taken very slowly as a new cat is still not Koda's cat. Koda is house trained, crate trained and just an all around lovely boy. According to our groomer Koda's coat was shaved a few months ago, and some of his fur was, relatively recently, cut with scissors as well. His fur will grow back, but it is a very slow process. At present his coat looks and feels very choppy.
Koda is more of a laid back, easy going husky and would be a walk in to almost any home. For additional information or an adoption application please email... kaleidoscopek9s@yahoo.com #kaleidoscopek9s #ohiodogrescue #rescuesofinstagram #husky #huskiesofinstagram #adoptdontshop

Many thanks for helping us pull the three husky from the Lincoln County shelter and getting them the help that they need. Praying that none are HW+
They stink and their fur is urine stained from the small kennels but they are safe, they will be vetted, and they will be placed into husky savvy homes. *Alyssa Gervais *Melissa Bowman *Amanda Barrow *Lisa Gihringer *Bruce Miller *Genna Bebko *Joel Karmazyn *Matthew Reiner *Ginger Miller *Natalia Hrelja-Nelson *Jane Antonelli *Mike Headlee *Elizabeth Antonelli *Danny Antonelli

So, this happened... One of our foster mom's, Sandra Jones found a little surprise in a box at the end of her driveway Friday morning. Someone had dumped a box of puppies sometime between Wednesday afternoon and Friday morning. The pups were cold and frightened and sadly one was already dead...sigh.
I wish people would just ask for help instead of dumping them. Welcome to your new life babies. Welcome to Kaleidoscope K9s babies. #kaleidoscopek9s #ohiodogrescue #rescuesofinstagram #adoptdontshop
