Rescues say it all the time… WE CAN’T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!! And while we never wanna sound like a broken record, we couldn’t mean it more! The honest truth is, there is a cost for every animal we save and big or small, it factors in. Our motto is “save first, find the money later” and we can have that motto because of the support we receive! We put almost 35,000 miles on our Transport van this year bringing over 400 dogs to their new FURevers! We are proud of that and honored to be able to do it.

Full disclosure- we aren’t gonna stop. In fact, we plan to ramp up our efforts in 2022- expand our specially-abled program, replace our Transport Van and continue to rescue as many dogs as we can.

We have a #MondayMission, pals! This lil nugget is Peter. Peter was a puppy when he came to us just before the pandemic and was quickly adopted. Unfortunately, he was also quickly returned. See, he was “acting funny”. Well, we don’t give up on doggos and do after multiple tests, we discovered Peter has a liver shunt. It’s a correctable birth defect but a very expensive operation. We have raised 1/2 of the required funds but still need $3000 to proceed. Without this surgery, even with his medications, the toxins in his body will continue to build up and he will not make it. We are determined to NOT let that happen but we need help. (We thank everyone who has donated so far.) Every little bit helps! Even sharing this post is a help! If you can, we would be so grateful.

Friends… This is Twisted. Twisted was living in a horrible nightmare in a meth house. She was so scared and uncertain of each day wondering if she would be alive the next morning and it got to the point where she almost didn't make it. She came to rescue with severe pneumonia because of being in those awful conditions.

Twisted was surrendered to the rescue's vet who asked us to help her. The team started treating her for that and found out but she has a megaesophagus. The sweet girl is trying her hardest to get better and has survived despite the odds. Megaesophagus is not a single disease. Instead, it is considered a combination disorder in which the esophagus (the tube that carries food and liquid between the mouth and stomach) dilates (gets larger) and loses motility (its ability to move food into the stomach). When esophageal motility is decreased or absent, food and liquid accumulate in the esophagus and have difficulty getting into the stomach and thus, she will be needing a procedure that will fid that before it is too late.

Rescuers are hoping that Twisted can make a speedy recovery and they can find her a forever home that will treat her the way she deserves to be treated and loved.
