Welcome to Canada Blizzard! Blizzard is a happy go lucky pup that came from Nepal with his two back legs completely paralyzed due to a broken spine. Although he has had a rough start he is sweet and trusting of humans. Blizzard loves to chase squirrels in the park and is doing great learning to use his wheelchair. He loves to play with and cuddle every person he meets! He is a very calm dog, spends his days sleeping or cuddling with his humans but also enjoys a 45 minute to an hour walk daily. The longest walk we have gone on was 2 hours, he had so much fun! Blizzard is super easy going, he doesn’t mind missing a walk but is also happy to go for as long or as little time as his humans want to. He does well with cats and other dogs, he is very social. He also would make a great family pet as he is gentle and sweet with children and babies of all ages.
In his time here we have noticed he can hold his bladder well and does not require a diaper during the day, but overnight he wears one as it would be best to avoid leaks. He does require his bladder to be expressed 3-4x a day and needs encouragement to poop at the same time to avoid accidents. Expression is simple and only takes 5 minutes to do. His fosters are happy to teach you to do it in person prior to adoption! Overall, despite his rear leg paralysis he is an easy going dog who doesn’t require too much extra time now that he is physically healthy!

Say hi to Hannah! Hannah is a dog that came from Iran that was known to be a shelter favorite. She is a sweet and happy girl with those she knows and takes some time to get comfortable with new surroundings, dogs and people. Hannah needs a home that understands she came from a very busy shelter and will need more time to adjust to life inside and in new environments. She is look for a home that can remain calm, allow her to decompress and also provide consistency and boundaries in a positive and loving way. Hannah walks amazingly on leash, but it is clear that she is shy/timid passing dogs and other people as she will try to hide behind her foster.
Hannah has been adjusting well to life in Canada, but is still dealing with some separation anxiety and learning what an indoor voice means. Due to her noise making abilities, she will not do well in a condo/apartment/home with a shared wall. She will need someone who is confident in giving her all the love she needs and comfort to allow her to be her best self. Benji is looking for an experienced and loving forever home. Benji (Benjamin when in trouble) is a goofy, soulful boy who will steal your heart.
Benji is working on Separation Anxiety (see below) when away from his handler and due to this would not be suitable in an apartment building. Benji will need consistency, training and leadership from his entire household. Benji is very trainable with someone to guide him and is making lots of progress in his foster home.
Benji loves to run, play, sniff, dig, tug and snuggle. With proper introductions, Benji loves cats and dogs of all sizes. Benji loves men, women and kids of all ages but would do best in a home with older kids due to his energy level. He is the perfect combination of active and couch dog. Benji's free spirit has happily taken to the life of sleeping in and belly rubs.

She loves to run and play with other dogs and she has met some cats, in a controlled environment and showed no prey drive towards them. She is incredibly smart and has already learned some basic commands. Annika is in search of the most amazing and loving home, that will love her unconditionally and show her what love and family truly mean.

Blissful Bessie is a cuddle bug! Bessie is very people friendly and always seeks affection. She is a sweet girl who would love a yard to run in. She is not an excessive barker but will warn you when someone’s at the door - she will quiet down when told. Bessie is great inside the house and is both potty and crate trained!
Bessie is looking for a home in a quiet neighborhood (suburban or rural) and with a yard to call her own. Bessie is great on leash, not much of a puller but can be reactive to dogs, cats and small prey on walks. Bessie can also get extremely focused on something and needs help to redirect. Bessie would do well with a family that will help her with her training and she should be the only dog. She would love a home where she can learn new things and have structure, rules & boundaries especially when going for walks.
🔸Bessie is a cuddle bug and loves to be loved when she has had enough she will go to her bed. But will put her head on your lap and nudge until you give her love. Bessie is attentive and mostly well behaved she loves to explore the property from one end to another.🔸
