We had a lot of apps for Dodi, but we waited until we found the right fit!
Thank you to the Knauer family for fostering him!
For those of you who remember Paw Paw from earlier this year, he has inoperable cancer resulting from not being neutered. He found his Dad and his siblings, and is living his best life even though he can no longer walk. His Dad is searching for some “wheels” to make the last bit of time he has a bit easier. Make no mistake, he is comfortable and loved, it’s just heartbreaking it took so long. Keep going Paw Paw!
Just some drugged up ‘Kids!
Now that Dr. Bishop got the hard FHO surgeries and amputation completed, it was time for the easy stuff!
Getting everyone spayed and neutered this week so that we can bring up some of our ‘Kids from Mississippi next week!
Just a pupdate on this fella from last week, who needed a modified FHO.-
From Dr. Bishop- It was a very difficult surgery. The bone was in a bunch of pieces and fused to the muscles. It’s not perfect but it is definitely going to feel better than before. My guess is that he will need a revision surgery in a few years as the bone remodels but it’s possible he won’t. I didn’t neuter him as he was under a very long time. He’ll get lasered daily and will neuter in 2 weeks. I pulled out at least 20 bony chards. 😰
Adorable, adoptable Dodi!

Adoptable Sasha( black) and Sookie(tan) with their big foster brother Brody, Furkid alum, who is never interested in pictures.
We are so excited that our older cat, Socks, found a home! Her new dad was friends with the foster, and got to know Socks over time, and decided to make her a permanent family member!
Thank you to Brittany for fostering Socks!
Our newest FurKid boy had his drained pulled today! Dr. Bishop doesn’t think he will need a second surgery! He continued to heal while his personality continues to shine now that he’s in a safe place! He loves to give the staff kisses!
Romeo, the Bulldog mix, whom we rescued a couple of months ago, finally made it to Pittsburgh!
We had great applications for this sweet girl but she found her new parents! She will be loved and spoiled as an only 'kid.
Thank you Ashley and Noah for fostering! 🐾
Adoptable Sasha’s glow up!
When she first got here she was battling allergies of the south. Since the north is not as hot and humid, she healed quickly! Her skin and hair is loving the northern fall weather ❤️
