Jack's story:
"Affectionately named Jack, by his saviors, this poor boy was found by a group of outstanding guys when they went to hunting camp. One of the guys heard cries and could not figure out where they were coming from. He searched the area with his pup and found him laying on a small camp porch. He was so weak he was unable to move. These guys have been feeding him and caring for him the best they could until they could find help for him. We are unsure at this point if he has been lost or a drop off. He had blood in his stool probably from eating whatever he could to try and stay alive. They tried for several days to find help. Our ODAAT volunteers, Josh and Cheyenne Coble were able to get to the site. To say we were shocked when we got a look at him was an understatement. Once we were able to get him in the car he laid his head on their shoulders, gave them kisses and then went in the back seat and started snoring. Jack was immediately transported to Metzger Animal Hospital. Jack was found in Licking Creek, Tuscarora State Forrest, Mifflin County PA.

⚠️ HAPPY ENDINGS AHEAD ⚠️
Fiona has GONE HOME!! She was finally surrendered to ODAAT after 3 days of trying to get her help legally. It took us 4 calls and 3 troopers before we finally found one that was willing to listen to us and willing to enforce the laws so we could get Fiona help. Fiona was a 7-month-old lab/golden retriever/Saint Bernard mix puppy that had been tied to an electric pole with an extension cord for over a week with no shelter when her owner went out of town. She was outside 24/7 through rain and colder weather all alone, hungry, confused, and extremely scared. When troopers were on the scene she barked and growled and even attempted to bite them. She was petrified! These are the dogs that do not make it out of the shelters. She had every reason not to trust anyone. Look at where she was... at the hands of the owner she loved.
Fast forward, adopted.. loved.. cared for.. Fiona has been adopted by Lori Nobel! We hate to say "everything happens for a reason" because Fiona did not deserve that life but we are so thankful that she gets to be loved for the rest of her life! Happy adoption sweet girl!
