Mondavi is adopted! This is from her new mom:
“Here is Kea (pronounced Kia) Bea Birdsong (aka Mondavi.) She was hit by a car in Memphis maybe two months ago. Stephanie went to go pick her up and take her to a vet. My husband and I adopted this girl! She is doing great! We’re going to get her HW gone and get a Spay On!! 🙌🏻
She is the sweetest girl and definitely a Daddy’s Girl💖🐾 We love her so much!! Thank you IDGSR and for the rescues you do!! 💖🐾🐺”
Kia Bea is a foster fail and was in too poor of condition to be spayed. Her new mom and dad are going to have that done as soon as she’s healthy enough.
Congratulations Kia Bea and happy life baby girl!

Kaja’s Adopted!! Have a great life sweetie! #idgsrkaja
Keema’s Adopted!!! Happy Life sweetheart
Keema has 2 doggy brothers that are rescues too. #idgsrKeema
Ava’s Adopted!! She has a brother who’s a rescue too and she’s so happy to be with her new family.
Bebe is doing AH-MAZING! She’s 9 days post surgery and putting a little more weight on her leg everyday. She’s also going great with her stretching, which is just the beginning of her PT. We have a follow-up scheduled for her next Tuesday and we think Dr. Fisher’s going to feel she’s doing as well as we do!

Please consider fostering it helps the dogs tremendously to de-stress and heal emotionally. our adoption rates been very high these are temporary situations some maybe longer if the dog has injuries or illness or recovering from we supply all the dogs needs we reimburse for anything that you might need to purchase and we pay for all the dogs medical. Currently fosters needed for Conrad, Keema and Misha & Magnum. Misha & Magnum are a bonded pair. All are located in Memphis, TN. #idgsrConrad #idgsrKeema #idgsrMisha #idgsrMagnum
Bebe left #bluffcityveterinaryspecialists to go to medical boarding yesterday to begin her recovery process. She is doing so well. She is already toe touching on her leg, which is GREAT news! She will be on very limited activity for the next 3 weeks while heals. At that point we will get her a full PT evaluation. She did need a full tail amputation because it was so damaged from the trauma she endured.
Bebe is currently in Memphis, TN and has an experienced medical foster in East TN waiting for her when she’s cleared for travel.
We can’t thank Dr. Cory Fisher and his team enough for everything they’ve done and the fantastic care they provided for Bebe.

***Bebe Surgery Update***
Bebe is out of surgery, awake and doing great! Dr. Fisher, her surgeon, told us that when he got in there, he saw her pelvis was already completely fused back together and there wasn’t anyway for them to fix it and put in the plate. He was able to perform the FHO (removing the femoral head) and amputating her tail, both of which are going to give her a tremendous amount of relief.
Dr. Fisher feels her injuries are at least a month old and it breaks our heart to think she was in such bad shape and in so much pain for so long. It just goes to show how much of a fighter she is.
We will update you on her healing and recovery. Thank you everyone for your thoughts, prayers, donations and shares. It means the world to us and Bebe!

Bebe’s surgery is today. She’s at Bluff City Veterinary Specialists and they’re taking great care of her before they start prepping her for surgery. We will update you on how she’s doing after her surgery is completed. Please send thoughts, prayers and good juju her way.
We want to thank everyone who has donated and shared but we still need to raise $2300 to cover the cost. Any amount you are able to contribute, no matter how small, is going to help. And if you aren’t able to contribute sharing her post is immensely helpful as well.
Again, thank you so much to all our fabulous supporters!

***Please Welcome Bebe to the Safety of IDGSR!!!***
Bebe is about 5 months old and came to us from the municipal shelter in Memphis, TN after receiving a medical plea due to the severity of her injuries. She has a fractured femoral head, fractured pelvis and broken tail. We believe she was hit by a car as not much else can cause this type of injury.
She has been seen by our orthopedic vet and is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday (the soonest they could get her in.) Her tail will need to be amputated since she has no sensation below the break, an FHO performed (remove her femoral head) and a plate put in to repair her pelvis. Post-surgery she will stay in medical boarding for 2 weeks until she can be safely transported to her medical foster in East TN. Through the weekend, she will be monitored and kept comfortable at our vet's office with pain medication. The estimate for her surgery is $5510, with the official estimate in the pictures.
Even through everything Bebe is amazingly sweet and just wants to have attention and love. When she was picked up from the shelter, even though she was scared and unsure, she still just wanted to be close to our volunteer and be loved on.
Donations are appreciated towards her surgery and ongoing care.
