Tonight we are working on our d's and e's! D is for dog, E is for elephant. D is also for "dumbass who doesn't spay/neuter their cats" and E is for "end pet overpopulation by getting your cat fixed."
We love working with our rescue partners! Charm (the cutie in the back) was adopted yesterday through our friends at Animal Rescue Assistance Team Tennessee after they pulled her from the Lewisburg Animal Shelter. ARATT doesn't adopt out animals; but places them with reputable rescue organizations to be adopted, along with providing spay/neuter assistance to Marshall County residents, educating the public about animal care, and helping transport animals to other states! Happy tails Charm!
While this doesn't happen often; it seems we adopted out a parrot under the guise of a kitten! Ember (formerly Eudora) absolutely adores her new momma Brittany and prefers to either perch on her shoulder or snuggle into her arm. She takes "velcro kitty" to a whole new level, but her mom doesn't seem to mind! Happy tails Ember ❤
Despite being closed for intakes to work on some much needed renovations; it seems like Mama Gemini had other plans. She had 4 beautiful kittens, 2 boys and 2 girls. Everyone looks healthy and Gemini is being a very attentive mother, only taking breaks for some tasty canned food and pets. So what should we name these tiny hooligans? We want to keep the "astrological sign" theme like their beautiful Mother's name; so any suggestions?
Virgo, Cancer, Leo, Aries, Pisces, Capricorn, etc.
Sweet Hope has been adopted and is heading home right here in Lewisburg! Her new momma plans to train her as a service animal to take on the place of their previous service dog; and her new name is going to be Karma. She has some big PAWS to fill, but we think she can do it! Happy tails Karma ❤
Ellie has been adopted and is on her way to her new home in Unionville with her dad Tom; where she is sure to be spoiled and loved. Happy tails Ellie!
Sweet Dixie has been adopted and is on her way home to Nashville with her new dad Jody! She has some exploring to do in her new yard and home (and lots of cuddles to receive). Happy tails Dixie!
Mocha is back up for adoption by no fault of his own; his adopters took him home on Wednesday and returned him today due to his size. Mocha is a short legged fellow, but long bodied (similar to a Bassett Hound) and weighs about 30 lbs. Mocha did exceptionally well in their home; they discovered that he is completely house trained and he acted like a gentleman. Their existing dog was frightened by his larger stature and did not want to play with him; and they were worried when she would snap at Mocha. So he is looking for his forever home ❤
What do 2 puppies do in their foster home all day? Faith and Hope eat treats, play, nap, play, snuggle, play, eat more treats, and snooze hard. Did we mention play? These 2 girls are loving their foster mom's house while they recover from their spays.
Mr. Mochaccino (Mocha) was adopted this afternoon and is headed home to Clarksville to meet his new mom and sister Callie. He'll have a big yard to explore and lots of love from his new mom and dad. Happy tails Mocha ❤
Can't forget our kitties! The fabulous 4 (our neurological kittens), Ash & MC the FIV+ boys, and Lincoln & LB weren't as excited about the event as the dogs were, but overall soaked in all of the love and attention they received. They are all still looking for their forever homes ❤
We had a blast at Bow Wow Bash today with Charlie, Trigger, and Sasha all getting adopted ❤ happy tails everyone!
