Jack, formerly known as Hemingway, is adopted and living a dream in Rochester, New York! Normally our adoptions are completed locally, but Jack's foster mama adored him and her parents loved him even more! They agreed to fly down to Dallas and rent a car to take him home so that he wouldn't need to fly in the luggage area of the plane.. Jack was in agreement and this boy once so dejected is now so, so loved. He loves his canine siblings and is even meeting with their trainer to learn even more skills.
We rescued this boy out of a full rural Texas shelter.. his time was up. Out of the shelter he was frantic, he needed some time to decompress and he was sick. He jumped two fences when he thought he was being left again. We adapted and leash walked him outside for a while to help in his decompression time. He needed medical care, antibiotics, and lots of rest, but this boy blossomed with love and just a little time. He was so grateful just to have this chance. Jack is living a dream life with two dedicated retired owners.. We just wish we had more fosters homes willing to give dogs the chance they need to get out of the full Texas shelters.
