Little Shanti with her new moms and brother!
28 days until #GivingTuesday! Let’s rally to create a global wave of generosity on November 30. How will you give?
🐶ADOPTED🐶
Goyle went from abandoned stray to part of the family. This guy was in rough shape when his foster family found him and suffers from congestive heart failure. Although we don’t know how long he has, we do know he’ll have the best years ahead because he’ll be staying with his foster family forever. Congrats to Goyle and the Campos family! ♥️💜🧡💛
Aspen was found in a ditch with her mom almost 5 years ago. Her mom had given birth to several litters in that same ditch - naturally we made sure that never happened again. Both were adopted - Aspen all the way in Indiana.
Aspens family celebrated her 5th birthday this weekend with all of her friends! They also donated her gifts to our rescue. Thank you to the Dewing family for loving Aspen and celebrating her with us! 🎉 🎈 🎂
Meowzers! 🐱 TX people, check out these cute kittens that need homes! This group is being cared for by a Good Samaritan. We were able to fix them and give them each a rabies vaccination. Now she needs help finding them homes. We are maxed out on intakes, but always want to help where we can. If you or someone you know is looking to add a feline companion- please contact Terri @ (979) 215-4905. Let’s get the kitties in homes!
Alexis was found in the middle of a busy highway by one of our volunteers. She was only 5 weeks old and would not have lived to get off that highway. She quickly took to the resident dog and the rest is obvious. Thanks to Laura and Becca for saving and adopting Alexis!
When you can finally relax once your realize you aren’t ever going back to the shelter again. ✨
We pulled 13 precious souls from area shelters today. In order to save more we need more foster families. Apply to become one of our foster families here: bit.ly/GCSTARSfoster

How cute is this pair? Lewie and his new mommy 😍
Please keep sharing our animals with your friends. We need adoptions to clear up space for new animals into our program!
🐶♥️✨🐾 ADOPTION ALERT🐾 ✨♥️🐶
These 4 dogs were able to be saved from a Texas shelter due to many awesome volunteers. After our Texas foster families gave these pups a place to stay while we completed their vetting, we sent them up to our Washington team before they ultimately found their forever families. We are so happy for Stan, Bumi (fka Copper), Chief and Rex. Thank you to our Texas fosters: Dale & Lori, Jamie & Billy, Shawn & Ashlee! Thank you to our Washington Team: Daniel & Shannon, Mike & Lexi, Max! And huge thank you to our Washington families for adopting a Texas dog!
⭐️STARS of the Month⭐️
Meet the amazing Daniel and Shannon! These two adopted Milo from us over 3 years ago. Eventually the pair began fostering for us and now they serve as adoption coordinators as well. They have even recruited friends to serve as foster families! We adore this dynamic duo and are so happy to have them as part of our team.
We asked Shannon why she likes to work with our team: “We love volunteering with Gulf Coast STARS because what’s better than saving dogs and cats with a group of badass women? STARS make it so easy for us to help these sweet homeless pets find their forever place in the PNW. At the end of the day, we get to hangout with fresh to Seattle pups and cats and help them find their perfect families that will love them endlessly. From the forever lap dogs to the natural trail lovers and those cuddly dangerous kittens, it’s been amazing to see each one end up in the home they were meant for. Making the world a little better and happier for families both fluffy and human - that's what volunteering with STARS allows us to do. We get to see our small action of fostering a dog or cat for a few weeks have huge lasting and loving impacts.”
If you would like to help us save lives, please consider becoming a foster family. We have foster families both locally in Texas and in the PNW. First step is to fill our our foster application: bit.ly/GCSTARSfoster
