We’ve been all up in our feels lately … but how could you NOT be when you see sweet faces like these?!? 😍

The last few days, we’ve been reflecting on things that we’re thankful for:

🐈All of the fur angels who celebrated their first Thanksgiving somewhere warm and safe
🦸🏽‍♀️All of the fosters and volunteer heroes who work tirelessly for the unwanted animals of Houston
💖All of our supporters, partners, adopters, and donors who cheer us along and help us secure the funding that we need to keep fighting.

Now we’re shifting focus to #GivingTuesday and AJL’s biggest fundraising goal to date. Look for some big announcements coming! Are you ready?? 💪

Duke is pretty bummed that we had to reschedule our Holiday Artisan Market (Dec 11 y’all!), but he is absolutely stoked to be rescued.

This big boy has charmed every single person that he’s met. He’s just THAT sweet and well behaved. And did we mention gorgeous?!? Pictures don’t do his gorgeous coat justice. If you’re a big dog lover, trust us - you don’t want to miss out on Duke!

If you remember, Gigi came back to us in ROUGH shape after being adopted in 2018. 😥😥 Slowly but surely, she’s healing inside and out, and we will start screening applicants for her forever home soon.

Meet Leo, one of our newest heartbreakers. He was being given away, and luckily a Good Samaritan took him and reached out to us so that he didn’t wind up in the wrong hands. Thank goodness for kind people!

Leo is still adjusting to life in his foster home, but he’s proven himself to be a complete doll. He’ll be ready for his forever home soon, so visit our website to submit an application if you’d like to meet this handsome little guy!

Caruso is one of our newest littles, and boy, did this kitten come in on a high note - quite literally! 🎵🎶

See, he was found right in front of the Houston Grand Opera’s warehouse, and the staff rushed out to save him from traffic. What’s more … they pulled together some funds to officially sponsor Caruso’s vetting!!! Talk about real heroes!

Caruso isn’t quite ready for his forever home yet, but he was so excited and grateful that he wanted us to share the mews (get it? lol)
