Scrapes came to Converse ACF as a stray. He was shy and needed some TLC but now is a handsome guy who loves his comfy bed and watching what goes by the room. He is quiet and timid but very sweet and would do best in a home with adults and older children.

This wren came to us in a very sticky situation this morning. Our Animal Control Officers were able to remove this guy from the sticky trap and save most of his feathers in the process. He had pulled off most of his tail feathers before the removal so he’ll be headed to wildlife rescue until he can fly normally again.

Meet Twilight!
She came to us in the beginning of May during one of the thunderstorms and was jever claimed. After being here a few days, we noticed she would limp some and had her checked out. She had severe hip dysplasia that needed surgical correction. For six weeks she has been rehabbing and healing from what is called an FHO surgery. Even with the surgery we’ve noticed she does have other special characteristics with balance and possibly vision issues. She’s an adult but very much puppy in nature. She is very sweet and affectionate and loves to play. She does well crated and is house broken. She does okay with other dogs who can he patient with her but she cannot be in a home with cats. Her preferred home will not have children under 12 since she can by shy in nature and unsure with loud sounds and new situations sometimes. She is estimated around 1-2 years old and has completed all her vaccines and spay.
Maggie (right) with her new family. Congratulations Maggie on finding your new home!
