Another day in TX rescue, another TX shelter full and begging for help because they are full and will be forced to euthanize dogs due to lack of space, this is an email from a shelter about 2 hours away from Dallas, we need foster homes to save them. Please foster, thank you.
PS - if you can't foster a large breed dog, foster a small breed dog, THAT helps, any kennel that becomes open = a dog that can be saved!

HUNTER.....This stunning 65-pound silver pittie needs a home. He has been through the ringer and yet he is kind, charming, loving, and well adjusted! He was taken into rescue up east and was adopted - unfortunately, the children in the household put something bad in his eyes and temporarily blinded him - HE HAS HEALED AND VISION RETURNED. He is perfectly healthy, very charming and should be the only dog to get the owner's full attention.

Siri is a 66 lb, 4 year old Lab/Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. She was saved from a terrible home life literally hours before the heavy ice and snow hit. She was heartworm positive but has completed the injections; she's now fully vetted, and healthy. She loves to play with her big dog brothers/sisters and is house and crate trained. Some TX shelters EUTHANIZE THEIR ANIMALS BEFORE HOLIDAYS, with Thanksgiving here, and Christmas quickly approaching, some shelters WILL EUTHANIZE ALL DOGS since the shelter employees won't be working for the holiday. Here is an example...

Pooch Savers needs foster homes! If you will foster and save a life...

Because foster dogs are typically available to be adopted, they need to attend our adoption events. If you're approved to foster, will you be able to bring your foster dog(s) to our adoption events at the Plano PetSmart, 6204 W Park Blvd? We’re there Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5. You don’t need to stay if you don’t want to, you can just drop your foster dog(s) off Saturday around 1 PM and pick the dog(s) back up Saturday around 5 PM and then bring the dog(s) back Sunday around 1 PM and pick the dog(s) back up Sunday around 5 PM.

Also - if need be, will you be able to bring your foster dog(s) to one of our rescue vets in either Plano or Carrollton?

If you answer yes to both of the above, please hurry and submit an application here, https://www.poochsavers.com/adoption-application/; although it is an application to adopt, we use the same application for fostering.

Where it says, “Which dog are you interested in,” please put "foster”

PS, since FOSTERING IS FREE, WE PROVIDE EVERYTHING, just put “n/a” for the question “What is your limit to spend on vet care/emergency care for your dog(s)” – also, you will not need to have the dog heartworm tested or get the dog any vaccines. Therefore, just put “n/a” on those questions as well.

These dogs are now safe with Pooch Savers Rescue; they were dumped by a breeder, no longer needed/wanted, filthy on intake. Two are going to the vet today. The little white one is coughing. They all need, at a minimum, to be heartworm tested and spayed/neutered. They all have rotted teeth and need dentals. If you can help with their vetting, it'd be soooooo appreciated.
