Two things we are most definitely thankful for today: Fonzi and Sally both being released from the emergency vet and recovering comfortably with their loving fosters. ♥️

Our hearts are so heavy and broken to learn that one of our most beloved ABDR alums, Groot, has passed away. 💔⁣⁣

Groot joined ABDR in it's very early days after being saved from a horrific situation, in terrible shape, in the middle of the night. His foster family Sean and Amanda didn't even blink at saying yes to saving him, and thank goodness with them as his forever family is where he stayed. He lived the MOST loved and cherished life with his parents and adoring human brothers. Not to mention that because if Groot, his amazing parents fostered and even adopted other dogs for the rescue, meaning he also was a hero. ♥️⁣⁣

Please send all your love and warmest thoughts to sweet Groot's family during this difficult time. It's never easy to say goodbye to someone so special, and he will be cherished and missed always. ⁣⁣

Happy tails! Dorothy has been adopted!!

Needless to say, this girl is living her best life with the best possible family. She adored them the second she met them, and the feeling was mutual. It took a minute to find her perfect match, but was most definitely well worth the wait. ♥️

Evan is NOT a fan of OtherEvan who lives in the cabinet door and wore the same sweater today even though he KNEW Evan was gonna wear it. 😤

Mia is a totally different dog in her ABR foster home! She holds her head high and is all wiggles and wags all the time! We also discovered just how much she loves being around other dogs of all sizes. 👯 She had her first vet appointment this week (heartworm negative 🙌🏼) and when she came home. She was dancing around and barking with excitement to see her foster pack.
