There is so much to be grateful for, today and everyday. We’ll start by thanking our dedicated staff, who work passionately and tirelessly to support our mission. Their efforts are matched by our incredible volunteers who are deeply committed to seeing our programs succeed. And we simply could not handle the volume of animals we do each year without our fosters, who open their homes and hearts to cats and dogs in need and facilitate adoptions like total rockstars. Of course, we couldn’t do ANY of this impactful work without our unsung heroes, our donors. Shelter upkeep, community outreach, and animal care come with a hefty price tag, and our donors continue to show up for us, backing our direction. ‼️ It's time to clear your plate and more importantly, clear our shelter this week!

We are gearing up for Thanksgiving with the goal to clear our shelter before the holiday. This seasonal spin-off of our year-round Slumber Pawty Dog Program encourages families to foster over the holidays, which provides a much-needed break from the stress of the shelter in a home setting.

At this time, we have several dogs who are still looking for an invitation to Thanksgiving dinner. We will provide all the necessary supplies, including food, crate, medicine (if applicable) and more. We ask that all dogs are picked up on Wednesday, November 24 between 1-7pm. Participants are welcome and encouraged to host a dog through Monday, November 29 or longer. If a family decides to adopt their foster guest, we will waive the adoption fee 😁

☝🏻☝🏻 Our actual faces when we realized our shelter is at 100% capacity, and we still have people calling hourly for our help. Sometimes it feels like only an early Christmas miracle will break the cycle. With so many locals up against unprecedented challenges and losing their housing left and right, as well as the inevitable cold weather influx, we see a storm a-brewin’. We try and keep it pretty light and breezy on our Instagram, page, but real talk, y’all, we’re starting to stress. Jack came here today for one reason and one reason only - to show off those spiffy moves. Okay actually maybe two reasons, also he would like to meet new people and go to his forever home. But I mean c’mon, check out those moves. This boy was meant for the big stage!!

When he’s not goofing around, this bundle of joy likes to spend his time playing with other pups and learning new things - he’s currently mastering the art of crating!

Help us settle this v important debate. Christmas decorations up on November 1st or December 1st? On one hand, we’re like, it’s a pandemic, and we can put our lights up in July if we damn well please. But on the other, it’s like, what about thanksgiving? Regardless of which side you sit and how you choose to celebrate, we hope you enjoy the upcoming holiday season. Falalalalala-tee-da! 🥧🎄🐾 Guess we should mention, this is Asia. She honestly doesn’t give a rat’s pa-tooty if you decorate at all, she just wants a home. Her family tragically lost their housing and had to give their girl up while they sorted their situation out, and we’re absolutely gutted for them and for her. In this season of giving, we hope you’ll consider fostering or adopting a homeless pet. Their gratitude is endless. #gpgAsia #adoptme
