#GivingTuesday2021
With November being the month for “Giving Tuesday” we hope you’ll consider donating to Bengal Rescue or adding the fundraiser on your page profile. We can’t do this without community, those amazing individuals who help us succeed. Like you!
This month we earned the coveted Guidestar Platinum Seal of Transparency. It is a tremendous honor that we share with some of the world’s largest nonprofit organizations.
Please be aware of organizations or groups who claim they are a nonprofit and are not registered or able to show proof of a nonprofit tax ID, nor have a business license.
We are only partnered with legitimate other 501c3 nonprofits for rescue. All vet bills are transparent for our fundraising. We respect the trust our donors put in our organization and ensure the funds are used as stated. We take our stewardship very seriously for our organization. Please be careful to check the organizations you choose to donate to and verify their tax ID or proof of legitimacy, active 501c3 status.
We’ve heard many sad stories about dishonest representations of 501c3 nonprofits and claims of being a “Bengal Rescue Partner” when they are not. As well as people donating to organizations that aren’t actually legitimate organizations. Please be aware.
All our partners go through extensive vetting and have a working nonprofit business relationship and are listed on our website www.bengalrescue.org
We hope you will give us your support, on #GivingTuesday2021, so that we can continue to help so many more cats who just need a chance!

Eros is an eight-year-old F3 Bengal (early-generation (EG) Bengal) who was surrendered TWICE, with both owners having the intent of having him euthanized.
Eros wasn’t a mean cat, he was just scared and completely unsocialized.
We considered calling a Sanctuary, but before doing that - we reached out to Savannah Cat Rescue to see if they knew of anyone special, who could handle this beautiful “handful” of a cat who weighed in at 28 lbs. To our delight, they connected us with a really special woman who has all the experience in the world with EG hybrids. We were thrilled to be able to give Eros the opportunity to receive love and rehab, with this very special Foster.
Months went by and Eros’ progress was slow. He seemed very intrigued with the other cats there, but his Foster was unable to touch him. She came up with all sorts of inventive ways to bond with him, even though he wanted nothing to do with her. When she would pet him with an object, he would growl. She hoped that he would eventually come around, and soon moved him into her bedroom where he could live with her and another cat in the home.
While his progress was slow, we were pleased to see he was healthy - that is until March of 2021 when he came down with an Upper Respiratory Infection (URI). His Foster told us that he was so sick, and so miserable. After spending over $736.40 at the Emergency Vet, we were able to get his URI under control. He responded quickly to treatment and was soon back on his feet.
Eros is a long-time Foster here at Bengal Rescue and he just celebrated his one-year anniversary with his Foster Mom. This is highly unusual, but he’s making strides and we hope that he will soon learn to “cat!”
We make sure the cats in our program receive proper medical treatment - even though most times, our adoption fees don’t even come close to covering the cost of necessary medical treatment. Eros’ expenses so far have added up to $1,036.40.
We hope you will give us your support, on #GivingTuesday, so that we can continue to help beautiful cats like Eros, who just need a chance.
This #GivingSeason, we’re aiming to raise $10,000.00 to assist us with the transport and medical care for Bengal Rescue's 2022 rescues. In 2021 alone, our expenses are well over $10,000.00 to date. Thanks to the support of you, we were able to find wonderful homes for over 55 amazing Bengal cats in need.
#GivingTuesday is officially on November 30, however if you would like to help us with this cause, you can donate anytime on and before November 30th, 2021.
Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing some very special stories about the cats in our program who have been given a beautiful future, thanks to the hard work our small team has put in, to make a difference.
You can help Bengal Rescue by creating your own fundraiser on Facebook, a Facebook birthday fundraiser, by adding a Donate button to your posts and adding a Donate sticker to your Stories.
Thank you for your support, for these amazing cats who need us!

Maki is a charming, active, and EXTREMELY handsome 6-year-old purebred Bengal boy. His owner purchased him as a kitten in December of 2015, with all the hopes of a great and long-lasting companionship. Maki has been that and more.
Maki lives with a gentle boarder-collie dog who he gets along quite well with. He’s also been exposed to other dogs that were being fostered, and he didn’t seem to mind them so long as they were cat-friendly.
Despite being a really winsome and fantastic Bengal, sometimes living circumstances can change through no fault of the cat’s or the human. Maki’s owner is working much longer hours than she anticipated, and has had to start traveling as well. Maki is not pleased with the long hours that he spends on his own, and when his owner travels - he has to stay with family. This has been very disruptive for Maki - he craves stability and consistency.
Recently Maki began to avoid using the litter box. This usually occurs during the time his owner is traveling or right after his owner has traveled. He was checked for UTI / crystals / stones and he tested negative.
Often times when cats are demonstrating litter box avoidance, if UTI / Crystals / Stones and FLUTD are ruled out, it is usually an environmental issue. These are sensitive cats who crave ROUTINE and attention.
Maki is the life of the party! He always greets new people in the home like he’s always known them.
Maki is SO playful! He loves his catnip toys, his cat tunnel, and scratching post / tower.
Maki was trained at a young age to have his nails clipped! He’s also harness / leash trained, and loves to give “high-fives.”
We are proponents of Raw-feeding for Bengals, and thankfully his owner is also aware of the benefits. His sparkling coat and great digestive system is a testament to the benefits of raw-feeding.
Maki loves to nap in his human’s lap. He loves to be wherever his people are.
Maki is neutered, received all of his vaccinations as a kitten and he is 💯 indoors.
If you think you can show Maki a home he would thrive in, please fill out our Adoption application: https://bengalrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/
Keiko is a sweet and beautiful 10-year-old brown-rosetted female that is looking for her forever home as an ONLY cat.
Keiko was a rescue that had previously lived in a home where she was neglected. She still seems to have some PTSD and will run and hide upon the arrival of new people, or when loud noises occur. Despite being nervous in these situations, surprisingly - she does recover quite quickly from the intrusion and will come back out to inspect!
Keiko has lived in her current home for a year and has really improved with love, kindness and yummy food.
In her current home, Keiko lives with a female DSH cat and we have been working with her owner for over a YEAR to try to get these two cats to even tolerate each other. We even brought in our Cat Behaviorist - yet as much as everyone has tried, these two cats just aren’t having it. For this reason she cannot be placed in a home with another cat.
Sweet Kieko does have some scars on her face due to severe reactions to food allergies (but we think that makes her even cuter!). For this reason she cannot eat kibble or inexpensive canned food. She is absolutely thriving on frozen raw and high-end canned food.
Keiko loves Churo lickable treats and is clicker-trained to touch her nose to the eraser for more treats. Her treats do not contain any chicken product, but she can eat canned food with chicken as long as it’s not chicken by-products.
Keiko has perfect little box manners, but like most Bengals, she stands while using it, so a 17” tall tote is a must. She’s currently using Arm n’ Hammer Slide litter.
Keiko’s human absolutely LOVES her, and this is a very devastating decision to have to make, in having to re-home her. The other cat was there first, and we do agree that Keiko would be much happier in a home where she has 100% free-roaming rights (currently there is a ton of separation happening, for the safety of both cats).
Keiko is Spayed, Vaccinated, and Microchipped.
If you think you could give Keiko the loving home she so dearly deserves, please fill out our Adoption Application. https://bengalrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

There are two types of Meowlloween cats. Which is yours?
(Left) Bengal Rescue alumni extraordinaire, @bengalabbiekins. Loves rocking her very best poses for the camera.
(Right) Our handsome spokescat, Maxy. Will dress up for treats but found this lion costume particularly insulting to his glitter coat.

Congratulations are in order!
After five months of searching for the right family for Pebbles & BamBam (Boise, ID), they have finally been adopted!
We're so happy for these amazing girls, and their family is absolutely head over heels for them.
Thanks to everyone who shared their posts, and offered to help. In the end they went to the most amazing loving family and did not have to travel out of State. They are HAPPY!

🚨URGENT!🚨Boise ID.
URGENT FOSTER NEEDED
Boise, ID (or Northern Utah - transport can be arranged).
Pebbles and BamBam are a loving bonded pair of silver Bengal sisters, living in Boise ID. Their owner had some significant changes in the home and is under duress to re-home them immediately.
Pebbles and BamBam were first brought to our attention in June, and since that time we’ve not been able to find the right adoption match for them - and now it’s become Urgent that they leave the home.
Finding an Idaho Foster would be ideal, however we would be willing and able to get them transportation to Salt Lake City, if anyone can step up in Utah.
If you have room in your heart and home to help these sweet sisters, please email us at info@bengalrescue.org.
(Look for their video on our Instagram feed below).

Do you believe in love at first sight?
Here at Bengal Rescue; we do too!
Congratulations to Koji - we found your forever BFF here at Bengal Rescue!
AND Congratulations Mojo - you two are meant to be!
You see, Mojo came into our program and needed to be placed in foster ASAP.
Graciously @tonyinsd stepped forward and gave Mojo a place to land while we worked to find his forever home.
But little did we all know, that Mojo would instantly connect with Koji and they are now the best of friends.
We just love it when things fall into place.
