Meet Pogo !!!! Please help post and share this handsome boy so he can find his furever home ❤️
In honor of Adopt a Senior pet month, we at Adopt-a-Pet want to remind everyone just how much love and appreciation a senior dog can bring to your life.
Why consider a senior dog you might ask?
1) With older dogs their personalities are pretty well developed, what you see is what you get, but that doesn’t mean you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
2) And speaking of tricks and training, older dogs usually have some degree of training already under their belt, most are housetrained, know some basic commands and if they don’t you can still teach them a thing or two.
3) Senior dogs are much calmer than a puppy, while puppies are cute, they are also very active and need a lot of training. Older dogs are past that chew on your shoes, or chew on almost everything stage. They are also more easily adaptable to your environment.
4) Last but certainly not least, you are giving a deserving dog a second chance, don’t you want to be the one who gives that dog a loving home that they deserve in their later years? Think about the joy and comfort they will bring to you, but more importantly that you will bring to them.

We are so excited to bring you the 2022 Alumni Calendar. This year's calendar is a very special calendar and means so much to all of the volunteers at Adopt-a-Pet. The calendar features several of our wonderful Special Care Dogs who have found their furever homes and a couple who are still looking. It features 14 gorgeous art pieces created by Volunteer Photographer, Sherry Simon and 14 heartfelt stories written by Kennel Manager, Di Agee.
This calendar was inspired by our very own Heidi Girl who has since passed but will never be forgotten. Her story is at the end of the calendar and is near and dear to all of the volunteers who helped her through her recovery process at Adopt-a-Pet. Heidi Girl and all of our special care dogs may have started with heartache, but thanks to the AAP volunteers and community support, their stories became success stories allowing them to experience the love that they so deserve. "If you see something, say something".
Order yours today! All proceeds go directly to the dogs! They make great gifts and are wonderful to display.
