It’s time to pull on some heart strings.

It was October 10th and ASO Sena was contacted by @animalrescueoftracy about an injured kitten. A foster of theirs had witnessed Christine rolling out from under a moving vehicle. They immediately scooped her up and brought her to Animal Services for possible humane euthanasia.

After staff completed a full exam of Christine, she appeared lethargic and unwilling to move. She however could stand to hold her weight. She also appeared well hydrated and had pink gums.

This incident of course was on a weekend and after open veterinary hours. ASO Sena wanted to give this beauty a chance to see if she would recover from this traumatic incident. So she brought little Christine home over night in order to keep an eye on her to ensure she wasn’t going to deteriorate.

Boy was ASO Sena right! Little Christine just needed some TLC for a few days and then she was a perky energetic kitten.

This beauty is now at the available weight for adoption!

This little girl is a survivor for sure and she has a fun personality to boot!

An extra shout out to Animal Rescue of Tracy’s volunteer team for snapping into action for an innocent kitten.

We are excited to announce that our Animal Services Shelter Aide Ms. Potkonjak has now been promoted to Animal Services Officer!

Abbey has been with the shelter for over 5 years, helping care and train our animals as well as helping our community.

She now embarks in this new adventure and begins the ASO training program.

We look forward to the work she will accomplish as she continues to grow in her efforts of providing service and support to our community- animals and humans alike!

Ginger and Pepper were surrendered to us last month. These girls are very uncomfortable and stressed in the shelter. Staff has been working with them and trying to build trust with these beauties, however the shelter sounds (mostly the dogs barking) is keeping them in a higher state of stress.

Please share their faces far and wide in hopes we find someone that can help them! Foster, adopter, or rescue for these ladies would be so appreciated!
