Meet Spinach!! 3.5 month old puppy found in Sacramento w/ a broken leg. He was brought to Bradshaw shelter for treatment, but the shelter is FILLED BEYOND CAPACITY (go adopt!) & the shelter is no place for any puppy let alone an injured one. Luckily volunteer foster Jillian stepped up to help! Spinach spent last night in a warm home on a comfy bed....
Say it with us: FOSTERING SAVES LIVES (what are you waiting for??) Spinach has some crate rest and time to heal his fracture but will hopefully be available for adoption soon!

Sweet Pete was rescued last week from Bradshaw shelter thanks to fosters opening their home & heart ✨

Foster mom Madison says Peter is an absolute gentle giant and good w/ all. He arrived to the shelter as a stray covered in wounds and marks (very similar to our dear dobie duncan rescued a few months ago out of modesto). We are not sure what happened in Peter‘s life prior but we do know that he is the most deserving dog and we promise he will never know that type of fear or neglect again.

Vacaville Ca - Meet Dakota! Dakota is a 4 1/2 month old Mastiff mix who is very cuddly and playful! She is still a pup, so potty training schedule and teething toys are important. She is very food motivated and learning quickly to sit. She has some separation anxiety, so crate training is still her toughest hurdle. When left out, she hasn’t been destructive at all (although she will roam looking for snacks). BUT Ringo is one of the lucky ones because a foster opened up their home & saved his life. 🙌🏽Seriously no better volunteer opp to directly make a difference and save lives than Fostering. But adopting is what allows us to keep going. Both are so important.

Petey is seriously a 10/10. This 4-5 year old American Bulldog/ AmStaff mix is one of a kind. Great with all dogs, cats, kids, and has lived with infants in foster. He came from Mexico needing surgery to remove a mass on his abdomen, and the surgery was successful 3 weeks ago. He is now fully healed, neutered, has gotten his Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP vaccines, and is on Nexgard/Heartgard.

Petey is the happiest boy you'll meet, and would be a great companion for an adventurer or a sedentary person or family. He loves running on the beach, great on leash and off, house-trained, crate trained, great in public but can also be left at home for hours without any issues.

Petey plays like a puppy and would love another dog in home or doggy playdates. It's time to find this boy a perfect home!!
