NorCal Animal Rescue Friends is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing dogs & educating the community about animal welfare.

Northern California Animal Rescue Friends is an all-volunteer organization located in Sacramento, CA and the Greater Bay Area (San Francisco, East Bay, South Bay, and Peninsula). Founded in 2006, we are dedicated to the rescue of dogs in need of foster care due to shelter over-crowding, medical or behavioral needs, extended medical rehabilitation, or through owner surrender. We are committed to the prevention of homelessness for dogs as companion animals. In meeting these objectives, we engage and educate the larger community about the need to spay and neuter all companion animals to prevent the continuation of pet overpopulation.

All dogs in our care live in foster homes until adopted through an application and screening process. Funding is through donations and adoption fees and covers all medical treatment including shots, spay/neuter, chip, and any other special needs for all dogs while in foster care.
