After 14 weeks of daily sugar wraps and bandage changes ..all of Herbie’s horrific wounds have healed and he is finally ready for a foster 💙 All of the fur where his skin was so injured came in a rust color! Herbie has been thru so much and is looking for a special adult-only foster home where he can decompress and learn to trust humans again. He will do best crated most of the time for the first couple of weeks, to minimize overstimulation. He seems to have been someone’s dog at one time as he is good on a leash, seems to enjoy walks and loves to play fetch. He needs a committed foster who will can give him the time he needs. Herbie came to the shelter a stray with necroptic skin in many areas, tendons exposed, and numerous maggots . Update- foster to adopt found for sweet Emma! 🧡 URGENT #FOSTERNEEDED #SOCAL 🧡 Brigade sweet #puppy Emma needs a very special foster home 🙏She is just 13 weeks old and was brought into OC Animal Care as a stray. She urgently needed rescue, we exited her today and rushed her to an ER Vet Clinic (where she is tonight). She tested positive for sarcoptic mange (contagious to animals and humans, but appropriate handling will prevent spread). She also may have been exposed to distemper. No baby deserves this 💔 Treatment has begun for all conditions, and distemper test results are pending. The good news, everything is treatable! BRB is committed to helping her recover but we desperately need a special foster home for her. Can you help this sweet girl? #ADOPTME - Arlo an adorable little 🎃 who is mellow, LOVES affection and to be pet. He’s a sweet lap dog and the best snuggle buddy. He likes to lounge on his bed, the couch or next to his person. He gets very excited about his walks, going for a ride in the car, and did someone mention t-r-e-a-t-s ?! Arlo is a #chihuahua mix, 7 lbs, and aged to be ~7-8 year old. 🙌 We had to share this amazing video of Mr Chubbs (@clover.benson or benny for short) that his Mom Caudia recently shared. “Clover B is doing amazing in PT! He’s up to 12 minutes in the underwater treadmill and this is after his exercises!! He even able to get up the ramp by himself without any assistances or falling down. Benny is even now able to spin in complete 360 circles and stay on his feet. it pretty remarkable.” You will remember Mr Chubbs came to us unable to use his hind legs, even with surgery (due to the generosity of his rescue village) to removed the ruptured disc in his spine, the prognosis to regain use of his legs was 50/50. Before he was adopted he worked hard with his foster Dad @dangerbenny501 and was using his legs but pretty wobbly. Fast forward a few months post adoption and he is thriving, getting stronger and stronger and regaining his balance 💪🏻. There his not much to say other than we are so thankful for this miracle and GO BENNY GO!!!!

We have AMAZING NEWS to share 📣 Glamis is out of the Garage 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Last weekend we shared the story of a senior bichon who was living in the garage after losing her BFF. Her owners did not want her and then went dark when Claudia tried to arrange a pick up date and time. We were thrilled when they called and said we could pick her up. She is a very sweet girl who just wants to be loved. Today Claudia and Raquel drove her North to meet @msentrepreneur_php and Blue who, along with @moneymikesoto76 , are going to give her such a wonderful home. Blue was adopted as a blind senior and we are hoping Blue and Glamis become BFF’s. A HUGE BRB #Thankyou to everyone who offered their homes to Glamis, to Claudia and Raquel for being her champion and making sure she was safe and not going to spend another day locked in that garage all alone, and to @msentrepreneur_php , @moneymikesoto76 and Blue for welcoming Glamis to their family 💕💕💕. Friday Update- we have Glamis!!! Tuesday Update- brigade thank you to each and everyone who reached out with offers to help this sweet girl. Unfortunately we have been unable to reach her owner with numerous attempts made. We will keep trying. It warms our heart to see so many people offering their homes- our brigade rocks!!! 💖 This sweet senior Girl Needs a Rescue Village! Her BFF passed away this weekend and she is now missing him terribly, they were together her whole life. She is healthy and very sweet, house trained on pee pads. Her ‘family’ recently got two new puppies and were keeping the seniors in the garage because the puppies bark too much when everyone is in the house. They no longer want this sweet girl, and now she is in the garage all alone, sad and confused 💔. If anyone can take this precious girl please email us Info@BichonRescueBrigade.org. We would love to find someone to adopt her but a foster would also be wonderful. We think someone home full time and ideally another senior pup would be idea for her. He’s is very friendly, walks well on a leash and is house trained (according to shelter staff). 🔜 He needs a rescue ASAP, we would love to bring him into BRB but need a spot for him to go.
