Small home based animal rescue run entirely by volunteers.

Since working in the pet industry and adopting our first dog (Haven,a pitbull), a few things have become evident to me. One that animals all over the world are destroyed due to a massive overpopulation problem and second that many people still justify buying a pet instead of adopting a homeless one. There is a standard for ethical breeders that promises that if you get a pet from them you will have a contract and that overall you will know what you are getting into for health and temperament, plus they will retake them should you not be able to keep them. So why are those same standards not applied to rescue animals?

I believe that a rescue is worth every bit as much as a purebred from a breeder.This is why adopting from us offers the most possible assurance that you will know what you are getting. The animals coming from our rescue have seen a vet and are deemed by the vet to be healthy enough for adoption, if anything abnormal is found you will know about it prior to adoption.

We are home based, so all the animals that come through our rescue, come through our homes first. The animals live with us in our home so we know what their personalities are like and once again any behavioural issues we have had with them, you will know about before taking them home.

Although we do not see ourselves as a "no kill" rescue there is no "time limit" for our animals. We do not euthanize for space this means that when we are full anyone looking to surrender will need to be waitlisted. However that being said we do euthanize when it is deemed that the animal can not have a good quality of life or we are not able to make them safe to live in society.

All of our cats are FIV/FELV tested prior to rehoming, spayed/neutered, are vaccinated (including rabies), are treated for fleas, ticks, mites and worms and all are microchipped.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (including rabies), are treated for fleas, ticks, mites and worms, are microchipped and we are always willing to assist the new owners with their training for the remainder of the dogs lives.

All animals are adopted out on contract specific to their conditions and needs. We will always retake any of our animals, at any time in their life, refunds possible on case by case basis.
